He gets a gift, one that can only be fully explored with the knowledge that he learned in his previous profession in the previous world. The keeping of knowledge is also a gift. And with that, his karma is spent. Thrown in the world with a 'good luck' and a slap in the back, he fights to survive until the start of canons. The time until that, 1000 years. ------------- Yeah… Now read about some of his adventures in this crossed over world, beginning already in HP canon. ------------- English is not my main language, so you will find some strange stuff, like the mix of North American and the Queen’s English. ------------- Disclaimer: All characters that you recognize from the franchise of Harry Potter and DxD are propriety of its respective creators and I only wish that they were mine. But they are not. I only own the MC, the OCs, and the ideas that generated the non canon plot.

Chapter 151: Clubs and the Work Ahead

Kuoh Highschool, Kuoh, Japan

September 1st, 2005 (2.5 years before DxD's first episode)

"What would happen to you girls, and your peerages at that, knowing that you two are the little sisters of two Satans and are alone in a city that already has a history of its past governor being murdered?"

Erik asked seriously to the girls sitting in front of him. Rias, Sona, Akeno, and Tsubaki, had a look of realization on their faces. It seemed that they being in constant danger while here had never passed by their heads, or if it had, they had not given it the deserved attention. But now that they had, things looked differently for them.

"But why you and not someone from brother's Peerage, or Lady Serafall's?"

Rias asked again. It was not that she didn't trust Erik to protect her, but she was already used to the presence of her brother's peerage and thought that it would have been better with them there. Erik looked at her with a deadpan face, and then looked at sona, to see if she had the same question. Fortunately, Sona was looking at Rias with a very similar face that he had on.

*sigh*

Erik let out a sigh at that.

"Would you care to answer your friend for me, Sona?"

Erik asked Sona while massaging his head.

"Sure, teacher. Lord Lucifer asked him to keep an eye on us probably because he is not a Devil and is someone that he trusts, Rias. As you know, there are some rules put out for heirs like us when we are out getting experience on governing a territory with the 'unbreakable' one being that, family members, or the peerage of family members, are prohibited to help the ones getting experience. Sending members of their peerage to guard us would go against these rules and their political position would be heavily damaged because of it by claiming that because of their identity, they are getting preferential treatment. So, as a loophole, if you say, your brother asked for brother-in-law to do it. Since he is not a Devil and is not a peerage member of my sister's Peerage, even though he is married to more than half of them, his presence here would not be seen as a violation of the rules. This would 'allow' him to be in the city and protect us if necessary."

Sona finished saying while looking at her friend, Rias, who nodded her head in understanding. Now she had gotten the full view of why Erik was there.

"And as you said, I will protect you four IF NECESSARY. That means that during your duties to the governed area, I will only intervene IF someone or something much stronger than you all appears and threatens the life of a big number of people. Until there, you two have to follow all the protocols that were made for this kind of situation and live with your choices. Understood?"

Erik said to the four girls while emphasizing the part that indicated that he would only intervene if it was really necessary. The four girls nodded their heads in confirmation that they had understood his words.

"Good. Now, I am sure that your brother and sister had passed down to you two the rules about recruiting people to your peerages. Do you have any doubts about it?"

Erik asked the girls, who shook their heads negatively. When Erik accepted Sirzechs request, he made his own 'demands' about it where some of which were about how the two Kings would approach anyone that they wanted to recruit for their peerages. Sirzechs promptly accepted his demands and was totally on the same page about the way of recruiting members for their peerages. Not that Sirzechs thought that they would have any problems with it since that was the way that both Kings were originally taught about recruiting peerage members. Both of them had great examples in their elder siblings in regards to the methods of recruiting members.

"Good. Is there anything else that you would like to talk to me about?"

Erik asked the girls. Sona shook her head negatively as an answer, but Rias nodded her head positively.

"Yes, there is. Akeno and I were talking about creating a club to function as a headquarters for my peerage, and I wanted to ask you, teacher, to be our counselor for it."

Rias said and asked Erik with her eyes shining with excitement. The red-head Devil was taking every opportunity that she could from this 'experience in governing' to live her dream of being a Japanese high-school student. And what would be of a high-school life if you were not participating in one of the famous school's clubs? Erik, Sona, and Tsubaki looked at Rias with deadpan faces. They all had immediately seen through the redhead's request. But Erik had to admit, the idea had its merits.

"In two weeks there will be the 'clubs' week'. Fill all the necessary paperwork for the creation of a new club until there, and be aware of the rules for the creation of one, and then come talk to me again."

Erik replied to Rias, who nodded her head with enthusiasm. Erik then looked at his little sister, Sona.

"How about you, Sona? Rias' idea of using a school's club as your headquarters is a good one. Being part of a club would give you and your peerage the perfect cover for all your activities."

Erik asked Sona and commented on the idea, making Rias stuff out her still-modest chest in pride for the compliment. Sona nodded her head in understanding before replying.

"I had already thought about something similar, but I was aiming for the Student's Council."

Sona replied while fidgeting with her glasses. Erik smiled at that.

"It is a good idea too. But you would not have complete freedom in it until you win the Council's presidential election, which will take some time for it since no first-year student is allowed to run for it."

Erik said, making Sona frown her eyebrows at that. That was a point that she had not thought about.

"Can I make a suggestion?"

Erik asked when he saw the complicated look on his little sister's face. Sona looked at Erik and nodded her head in confirmation.

"Go for it with your idea of entering the Student's Council, just don't worry about the president's seat for now. Aim for a lower position first to gain the students' trust with a good job done. Next year, when you have more experience with the runnings of the school and you are more well known by the student body, put your name for the run. I can make bet with you that you will win the election with no problem then."

Erik said to Sona, who was paying great attention to his words.

"Even so, because you will need the free time for now. You and Rias have a lot of work ahead of you both with the cleaning of the city."

Erik said again, making the four girls look at him in confusion.

"What do you mean, teacher?"

Rias asked Erik, who gave them a mocking smile at that.

"What? Did you think that they would give you two a clean city to rule? Since Cleria Bellial's death, six years ago, the city had no active governor and it is, right now, infested with low-ranked strays and other bad things."

Erik said to them, making the face of the four girls turn ugly at that.

"Want to know my opinion about how to tackle it?"

Erik asked the girls, making the two Kings nod their heads.

"Ignore the contracts for now and focus on cleaning the city as soon as you can. The more time you take to do it, the more problems you will have with their presence here, creating a huge snowball effect of problems for the two of you to solve."

Erik said to them, making the two Kings stay silent while contemplating the pros and cons of that path. While they were thinking about it, Erik looked at his wristwatch.

"Well, if you girls don't have anything more to talk with me, I will ask for you to go. I have to finish this classes' diary before leaving for the day. I promised the kids that I would get them at the end of their school today, and I don't want to be called a liar by my children."

Erik said to the girls while pointing to the pencil that was still writing entries in the class diary. The girls quickly got up from their conjured chairs and gave a little bow to Erik.

"Thank you for the council, teacher."

Tsubaki said for the four of them and they quickly turned and left the teachers' room. Erik smiled at them and watched as they exited the room. With a wave of his hand, Erik dispelled the chairs and the illusion that was shielding their conversation, turned back to his desk, grabbed the pencil, and continued to write in the journal.

"Oh, it seems that the newcomer is already famous among his students~."

Erik suddenly heard the voice of one of the female teachers talking to him.

"Not at all. They are new students to the school, coming from abroad, and with me being their homeroom teacher, they wanted me to clarify some of their doubts about the school that they could not ask during the first class period. First-day shyness, you know the deal."

Erik replied to the teacher without taking his eyes from the classes' diary and without stopping his writing even for a moment.

"They wanted to know about when they could choose their clubs, with two of them wanting to create their own. I just had to explain to them about the club's week and some of the rules about the creation of new clubs."

Erik added while finishing his writing, not giving any chance for the woman to continue the conversation. He then closed the notebook and stored it inside his desk drawer. Putting the pencil back on the pencil holder, Erik stood from his chair and checked for anything that he could have forgotten. After not seeing anything, he waved to the few teachers that were still in the room.

"See you all tomorrow, have a nice rest."

Erik said and then walked out of the room to go home for the day. The teachers watched as he walked away with some of them returning the 'good rest' wished back to him. When Erik was already gone, the female teacher who had tried to start a conversation with him let out a sigh.

*sigh*

"Again he quickly escaped."

The woman said, lamenting the fact that Erik had quickly cut the conversation with her.

"Forget about him, girl. Teacher Ravenclaw is married and with kids waiting for him at home."

One other woman said.

"And everyone could smell the desperation coming from you when you tried to start a conversation with him."

Another one said in a teasing manner, making most of the women in the room start to laugh at that. The teased woman just let out another sigh before going back to her desk to finish her classes' diary.

*sigh*

She was indeed desperate to find a boyfriend.
