Chapter 64

It was a morning just before I knew it, and I was still running around the pack, trying to place things in order with the help of Franco and Cartel. I was not the Beta. I wasn’t the strongest after the alpha but I was able to act as the alpha at this point. Because of the power he’d given me. And with that everyone respected me for it.

“Creamy?” Franco called from the door of the alpha’s room. I was trying to lay my head a little. I was beside his bed with my head down. I’ve sent orders to Cartel to have all the moonlight pack members gather up for an important announcement. So I was waiting here. His condition was still the same thing since last night. He was half dead and half living.

I stood up and walked to the door and opened it. Then get out of it to meet Franco by the door.

“Have you decided?” I asked him. He’d probably wanted to talk about it, where they belong if they would stay at moonlight pack or not.

We’d talked about it with Zyair before the fight started and now he was gonna give me his reply.

“How is the alpha?” He asked me.

“He’s still in there isn’t he, hanging on. He won’t give up so soon. Trust me. Just be strong.”

I nodded. I didn’t wanna get emotional in front of him. Though I was showing signs of it. Franco knew but he was the one to act like he had no idea what was happening, Cartel didn’t know the cause of it yet. He’d no idea the lady he met as Zyair’s mate was the cursed girl they were all looking for.

Franco knew now, he had been suspicious before I think now he had confirmed whatever that was and was now certain.

“I kept on hoping on that.”

He nodded and squeezed my shoulders.

“Have you decided?” I asked again.

He removed his hand from my shoulders.

“I have made a decision, we all did. All of Salom wolves did.”

I nod. Ready to take in all that he had to say to me. So I could tell Zyair. Even if I doubt that he would hear. But I’d hope he hears me whenever I talked to him.

“So what is it?”

“We’ll stay with him, he needs us. We’ll stay and let him rule over us again.”

I smiled and covered my mouth, and quickly wipe my tears.

“..we experienced a lot of good things when he came into our lives. We never imagined we would ever be back as a pack again. He brought us all together. We won’t leave him. We’ll be here until the last day.”

I hugged him.

“Thank you..” I cried.

“We’ve got you. No one should know about the alpha’s condition. We can’t let anyone know what’s happening to him..”

“No..” I pulled away from him.

“We’ll tell everyone.”

“What?” He looked at me. Surprised and probably thinking about what I was up to. That was the plan I had. That way I would get my parents of Amaia to stand out. It would be easier that way.

“You don’t have to worry, I’ve got a plan” They would come to me, I won’t have to go find them. Her parents would come on their own will to meet me. That was what I want to happen and it would.

“Creamy..”

I turned. It was Cartel coming.

“Everyone is ready and waiting for you.”

“C’mon Franco. Let’s go.”

We walked out, towards the towel where we would stand and talk to the pack members. I wanted to see all of them, the sick, the wounded, and the whole.

I stared at the pack members and felt heartbroken. They were suffering, they were dying. They looked tattered. The place that had been our home.

I stand. And fixed my gaze on them. There was murmuring before I stood up front. Everyone became calm and stare at me.

“..I know y’all are wondering what was happening, some know, some don’t, and some don’t even have a clue. Today, I’ll clear everything that has been bothering everyone. But first would like to clear off the misunderstanding that was about a year ago. The death of the alpha Wren and Zyair dismissed from the pack. All most everyone here knows me and knows about the incident...”

Cartel came forward, behind him was his brother Jason. He had eaten the food, that was brought for him, the food was poisoned. A poison that would get him talking like crazy and eventually kills him. He’d doubted that I would do anything to the food. He’d seen for himself now.

“This is Jason, Cartel. Sons of the alpha. They would tell us what they did.”

Jason steps forward, grinning like some Idoit.

“Sean did it, he wanted to be alpha, the coat he gave Zyair to give father had the poison in it, the dust poison. So When Zyair father the coat, he would die and everyone would accuse Zyair of his death. It was killing two birds with a stone and it did work.” He laughed.

“We both had planned it. The cartel was too stupid to be part of the plan.” He laughed harder.

“Take him away.”

He was dragged away back to the dungeon.

“You’ve heard it all, and my brother Sean is dead. Though he had the alpha blood in him, we’ll do, because we’re his sons but the one who was truly is, was our brother Zyair. He’s the Alpha.” Cartel concluded and bow before he steps backward. And I took the spot again.

“But Where’s He? We’d offended him, we should apologize for what we did to him. Kill the Zyair brothers!”

An angry pack member yelled.

“Kill him!”

They chorused.

“Calm down everyone, that’s the least of our problems. He’s as much as we know dead. We need to address the pressing issue.”

“We need the alpha to come out!”

“Why won’t you listen to me!”

“You’re not the alpha! Why should we listen to you!”

“You might just be someone trying to convert the alpha’s positions.”

I sighed. I expected something like this to happen.

“Fine!” I yelled.

“Your Alpha is dying, almost dead because of the curse!” I shouted, so my voice could cover there. That was when they all kept quiet. And stare at me.

“Will you listen to me now!” I raised the seal up. The alpha seal was now on my hold.

“Nineteen years ago, a baby was born into the moonlight pack, the cursed child that shouldn’t have lived. She was never found to have been killed that night. Why? Because the parents hid her. That curse child survived that night. And this is the consequence of their actions. They had kept everyone at risk.

Now even the alpha is suffering because of it. Are we gonna sit down and watch this happen?”

“What should we do?”

“We should kill the cursed child then.”

I shook my head.

“We ain’t gonna kill anyone. Haven’t you thought, it ain’t always about killing someone? Why don’t we find out the reason why the curse was born in the moonlight pack.”

“I’d never thought about that, it’s a good

idea.”

“But how?”

“I don’t know how you all are gonna do it because it’s an assignment for every member to find out the reason why, and tell me.”

“And if we found out the reason, what would happen?” The wolf that asked the question was quite old. He was standing glued to his wife. His eyes were desperate for an answer. That was when my suspicions began. It could be they.

“We could save them both. The cursed child, who is all grown up now and the alpha and bring life into the pack again.” I answered him.

“Will the girl is truly saved, it seems like you’ve seen the cursed girl.”

“I have.”

Everyone gasped. I stare at the old couple, their head was down now. But I wasn’t done yet.

“...and she is our Luna.”

That was a blast. They hadn’t expected me to say something like that. The couple's eyes came up to me again.

“Let's give moonlight pack another beginning, I can’t do it only. Y’all need to help me, let’s not use hate to fight hate. This time let’s use a different strategy. Love. Let’s save our Luna, let’s save the alpha, and let’s save ourselves.”

“What about our mates that died, our children our family?”

“It wasn’t her fault.”

“Then whose fault it is!”

I pointed to the ground.

“The place you’re stepping on is cursed. She just bares the burden. Alone for years, because of the curse, she’d no wolf. Imagine living like that.”

That got them silent.

“We’ve tried killing her for a very long time but it didn’t work. We couldn’t kill her, didn’t it give a sense of reasoning that we’d to do something else.” I said.

“You’re right. We’ll do as you’ve said.”

“You’re a wise man.”

“I’ve been able to come this far as being wise because I lived with a very wise man. He thought me everything I know today. Am I not gonna let that man die? We're less than five days. If you’ve any information come to me. Together we’ll find as one family.”

“What about those that are sick? Would they be cured?”

“They would be cured. But nothing would work if we don’t come together as one.”

“We’ll do everything we’ve got. Tell the Alpha, we won’t give up on him and he shouldn’t give up either.”

I smiled.

It did work. Bringing them together and now the real fight has begun. I’ve to wait for them to come to me.

“You may all return to your houses. Thank you for your time.”

“Thank you, for giving us another light.”

And they all bowed to me before they left. My hope was on them, if they won’t come, since I’ve got a clue about them. I’ll go to them.
