Hall of Doom

Shegar walked slowly into the Hall of Doom, his heart pounding in his chest. He had never seen his father before, and he was not sure what to expect. The Hall was dark and gloomy, like the mouth of a giant beast. The only light came from the torches that lined the walls, casting long shadows that danced across the floor. Shegar could hear the sound of his own footsteps echoing off the walls, and he felt very small and insignificant.

Shegar finally reached the end of the hall, and he saw his father sitting on a throne. The darkness made his father's silhouette loom large, and Shegar could only see his red eyes, burning like coals. They seemed to pierce right through Shegar, and he felt a chill run down his spine.
