Pretoria's History #2

This girl, escorted out of her city from Amaterasu II, and kept safe by Clio, was named Shiba Pretoria. Shiba, a girl with a strange marking on her back, was thought to be the first person who shared out how she moved the bonfire.

And when she did... it became even more confusing to those trying to learn how. Shiba had a very far-out explanation than everybody else, proposing that she was praying to a God about doing it. She prayed to God she could use this fire to cleanse her nation of all of the evildoers. This begins the legacy of the First Pretorian, Shiba Pretoria.

Shiba was like any other citizen. She was born to normal parents, long after the Dead Generation, and she was sent into the world underneath Amaterasu's Reign.

Shiba had a lot of dreams about a God, one that talked to her a lot about using her mana for evil, rather than for good. This God told her that the holy fire she could move with her mind would be used to help everybody. Help everybody in a way that would end their measly lives.

Shiba had a God Complex and she claimed she was the flame goddess. She claimed she controlled the sun, which gave them day and night. And one day, as if everything wasn't bad enough under her assumptions, she witnessed a solar eclipse and got everybody to believe that she was the one who caused it.

This sent Clio's town into an uproar. Everybody wanted to serve under Shiba, as her Disciples, but Shiba knew better than that.

Shiba lived under Amaterasu's rule. She knew that if the people were given a tiny sip of the power she wielded, they would overthrow her. Shiba didn't want that, so she made an effort to teach them, under the assumption that there was no other belief in the world, other than her.

Shiba became a Goddess for all with a certain spell called [Erase Memory], which Zeus had used in conjunction with Papiya's Ability to restore memories. Shiba erased the memories of all people who wanted to serve under her and made them commit their lives to protect her reign.

Around ten years passed before Shiba carried on with her family life, giving birth to more than ten children, and continuing her endless reign.

It's unknown if any Heroes before that date were reincarnated into this world, but on that date, her last child was born, and two Heroes were reincarnated into this world by the same God sitting up in the tree, watching this all unveil.

Lolofaruba and Henry Izmel, two Heroes who were siblings in their past lives, were summoned into this world after a fatal car crash. Unfortunately, they were summoned to the other side of the world from where Shiba was. The Kingdom of Sieve and Hecate, who were both standing at this time, decided to send over Lolofaruba and Henry at once.

Shiba caught them halfway after realizing what was happening. A messenger from Hecate delivered their intentions to Shiba via [Clairvoyance], and Shiba, with her cult following, met them halfway.

Both Henry and Lolofaruba were able to escape from the battle, but the old King of Sieve, Rowan VII, asked her to fight in a duel.

Shiba accepted, knowing she would win, but unbeknownst to her, Rowan VII had a special power as well. The ability to shut off magical abilities permanently.

Rowan VII lost his life bravely in the fight, as Shiba Pretoria was able to use her Pretorian Genes to use her excess of mana as her health points, won against Rowan VII, but she didn't escape there alive.

Lolofaruba and Henry both combined their powers as the Ranged and Magic Heroes to take out Shiba as she was on her last limb. With that, Lolofaruba and Henry, two thirteen-year-olds, became Heroes of the whole planet.

Pretoria had to take a breather after such an oppressive rule, and Shiba's underlings were all executed. Pretorian cities started to slowly heal over time, subtracting those rulers from power and adding in those who cared about the nation. The children born after this point would be taught all kinds of magic at the same level and at the same pace in order to establish equality that couldn't be trampled over.

All Pretorians can use every element and every skill regarding each element, but others can only use Ether: The lack of an element.

Many Pretorians weren't born with mana due to a gene in their bodies that prevents such a thing, and they only could cancel out elements. They weren't oppressed in any way, but they were objectively inferior to those who had long enough range with any of the elements.

Even in Pretoria's sheltered walls, some who could use elements better than others began to rise out of the cities, and some of them followed in Shiba's footsteps. They were exiled, strewn about to other distant lands, and some of them ended up landing by Sieve and Hecate. Two namely people.

Persephone and Zeus.

Persephone and Zeus, two people who were born right after Shiba's death, excelled in the use of the air element and the water element. Knowing they would be looked down upon for being better than everybody, they left to establish rule, listening to Shiba's advice for becoming powerful, and disregarding the memories of other people to make themselves seem like a God.

Persephone's ruling is lost after a certain point around fifty years ago, but Zeus, after trading bodies over and over again, has died out.
