Dinner With The Malfoy Family

Hermione rushed around the kitchen. Her husband was still at work amd she took the day off to cook the meal. She made a roast, mashed potatos, carrots, peas, fried corn, and more. She heard the slam of a car doors. Draco has picked up Scorpio and Lyla from daycare. The front door opened and she heard the voices of her family. The kids gave their mother a quick hug then rushed off to the playroom. "Honey, why is the cook not here?" Her husband asked with confusion. "I gave her the day off. She's been working rewlly hard lately." He kissed her softly. "Your so sweet. This is why I fell in love with you." Hermione smiled. Draco and Hermione finished up dinner with enough time to hey. her and the kids ready. They set the table and then heard the doorbell. "Lyla, please go get the door. Remember, be respectful and ladylike." Her father said. She nodded happily amd ran to the door. She opened the door and smiled. "Hello Mr and Mrs. Potter. Im Lyla, follow me please." She smiled. The young couple followed them into the dining room. "I did it mommy!" Her daughter beamed. Harry and Draco met eyes and both of them went tense. Hermione gave Harry and Ginny a hug. "Its so good to see you! Dinner is ready and on the table. Shall we sit?" Harry smiled and nodded. They sat down and had a chat. "So Harry, how have you been?" Draco asked politely. Harry tensed a bit. "I've been okay." Harry eventually became accustomed to Draco and the night went well.

*After Dinner*

Hermione was standing by the door and gave her friends one last hug. "Hermione, it was great seeing you again. Please...please stay in touch." Harry said. "She will." Draco said as he wrapped his arms around Mione's waist. Harry smiled. "Take care of her Malfoy." Harry said teasingly. Draco laughed. "I will Potter." And with that Ginny and Harry left the manor. Hermione put the kids to bed, then went into the kitchen. As she was pouring a glass a wine she heard Draco enter the kitchen. "You did great tonight honey." He wrapped his arms around her waist. "I know, I'm just tense. Things were going so well..I don't want things to change." She sighed. He turned her around. "Listen to me. Nothing is going to change. Its me and you until the end. I promise." He kissed her lips softly. She hugged him. "Thank you Draco." He smiled. "Your welcome Mione." "We should get to bed. We have a big day tomorrow." Draco said. Hermione nodded and they went off to bed.
