Alex looked around anxiously. His gaze was glued to the door, the anticipation and nervousness apparent on his features.

Despite his rugged appearance, his handsome traits weren't overshadowed. He looked effortlessly ethereal.

This was the first time after he last met Arya that he was not drowning himself in liquor. When his father pulled him out of bed today, he was annoyed and angry.

After listening to his father's reasons, however, his anger was replaced with an emotion that was almost nonexistent in his life recently; joy.

Here he was, an hour later. Dressed to impress and felt insecure in his skin. This was a result of his rugged appearance and the insomnia that plagued his life.

Despite all that, he felt alive today. He was going to meet the person who became the source of his joys and sorrows.

He heard them before he saw them. The familiar giggles that he had been yearning to hear brought his dead heart back to life.
