Her mercy to His penitence

"Don’t do it love! Please. Am sorry I hurt you. How can I live without you? Forgive me. " The girl stood at the cross road. Tears streamed down her pale cheek as she debated between listening to his pleas or to her heart. She was tired and could no longer take any of it. He took everything from her yet she stayed until she felt that her soul was no longer alive. Each pain he caused chipped a little at her soul until there was nothing left to give. She was now an empty soul that was hanging on a thin thread. She was only breathing, but being alive never counted as living. It was time to let go. Hate-Love relationship

Jace woke up to the sound of his ringing phone. For reasons unknown to him, he felt a little groggy but dismissed it as exhaustion from the late-night charade.

He blindly searched for his phone until his fingers fell on it. Without looking, he managed to receive it and place it in his ear. A lazy hello escaped his lips.

After the other party responded, he sat up at a speed he didn't know he was capable of. It was a call from his father.

Jace bit down hard on his lip as his hand shook. His eyes redden at whatever the man was telling him. He didn't have the chance to say another word aside from the initial hello.

It was only when the call ended that he breathed heavily. The sleep was long wiped from his eyes as cold sweat drenched his pyjama.

The room was by no means hot and neither was the weather. He plopped back into his bed letting a single tear escape.
