Chapter 6

Rica trembled in her spot as she felt her whole body overcome with fear. She wanted to scream but the words were stuck in her throat as she watched the giant wolf pull away from the rigues body.

He leaned toward her with a set of black Eyes and she tensed as she noticed them change back to a shade of blue.

She gasped as she realized that this was no ordinary wolf but it was the immortal she had seen earlier.

She didn't want to have another argument with him as she tried to get on her feet. But the effect of the berries was still on her. Her legs wobbled as she let out a groan from her lips.

She watched af the wolf growled before she heard the distinct sound of bones cracking as he shifted back into his human form. she couldn't help but blush when she noticed his naked form.

"Can you at least attempt to wear something in order to cover yourself up?" She muttered. He ignored her as he let out a low grunt and made his way over towards her. He took her foot into his hand and examined it only to become confused when he didn't see any form of injury on it.

"What is wrong with you?" He asked her. She wanted to know what happened. She knew that it would only make her seem even more weak.

"I dont know." She said and she watched as he let out a humm before his gaze focused on her lips. She pulled as she wondered if it was possible that she had something on them.

He let out a sigh as he let go of her before standing back up to his towering forn. He offered her his hand as she took it with great hesitation.

"you ate the poison berries didn't you. Of Course. Why would I be surprised you are an insipid human? ". He muttered under his breath.

She watched as he gritted his teeth but before she could say anything to him in return he began to pull her along with him.

"hey okay just stop. Where are you taking me?" She asked. She watched as he groaned, sighing before he turned his attention back toward her. "I can't have you wondering out here. You need to stay away from his place". He said to her in a demanding tone.

She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow as she pulled away from him slightly. "I don't understand what your problem is . You don't want me to stay with you but you don't want me to stay on my own. So tell me what is it that you want." She asked him with a groan.

He turned to look at her with a glare on his face and she could sense the frustration on his face. "You and I are connected which is much to my disdain and it is quite an inconvenience on my part. Nut because we are connected that means that anything that happens to you could aome how affect me too. I am not going to sit around and watch you make a mess of yourself". He said to her.

She looked towards him with uncertainty. She didn't entirely understand how that worked but the truth was that she didn't understand the concept of having a late either and she liked to guess that in the sense they were similar to one another.

"Well that is a 'you' problem. You already made it very clear that we are supposed to stay away from each other. We can't stay away if you keep coming here". She said to him.

She was starting to get frustrated now. She knew that she had told him before that she wanted to go but she had changed her mind. Now that she didn't need his help and that she was able to navigate the forest on her own.

"I don't want to go with you any more. You immortals are nothing but danger and quite frankly I don't want to be anywhere near the lot of you." Hae said to ukm wfiemlt.

She watched as he let out a huff in grimace before he rubbed temples in frustration. She knew that she was being alsin abd skmewbat annoying bug in tha tmoormtn she didn't mind or care.

"why do you have to be so stubborn. Why can't you just come with me so thst wr can get this over with. This may come as a surprise to you but the last thing that I wanted or desired was to be stuck babysitting a human". He said to her.

She gulped before glaring at him. "I didn't ask for this and I am just realizing how I don't want anything to do with you either. So how about you leave? I am not in a hurry yo have you stay beside me." She said to him.

She watched as he lay out a groan from his lips . He gritted his teeth at her before taking a step closer to her.

"Why can't you see that I am trying to protect you? Stop being stubborn for once in your life and just listen." He said to her in a hissing tone.

"How do you expect me to do that when all you have done is brood and sulk angrily. I am not to blame for being skeptical about the thought of having you around." She said to him with a shrug.

"You have to come with me because if you don't the others will come for You and when they do they won't be as kind as I am. Happiness may sound calm but don't let his name deceive you. He will have no trouble ripping into you to get what he wants.

"What do you mean the others will come for me. What others?". She asked him in a trembling tone.

"The other immortals. They will try to take you down." He announced.

Her eyes widened in shock, "what but why."

"Because you are mated to all five of us. And when they find out about that they will all try to mate with you to claim the prophecy." He spoke as his words echoed through the forest.
