Birthday gift (Final part)

Megan Pov

Mr Brain instructed Daniel to show the all-new arrivals to us, Daniel nodded his head, as he was going, My Dad called him, and said, "Hello young man, how are you", Daniel smiled and said, "I am good Sir, Thank you".

He instructed two salesperson something, they walked out and came back after few minutes with a rack of Partywear dresses. My Sis, Karen and Mom stood there openmouthed, those dresses looked stunning, each dress had its own uniqueness. I had picked two dress from it, as for my Mom and sisters, took nearly another four to five dress, and asked me to check. I looked at everyone in the room, as I walked passing Daniel to the trail room.

I walked out of the trial room after, I tried each dress for my family to decide, but I didn't like any of them very much.

I saw Daniel standing in a corner, but his expression never changed, when I came out wearing the last dress, Daniel walked out of the room, maybe he was bored standing there watching out family dress drama... I took the random dress from those gowns and said to my Dad, " Dad, I will take this", my Mom walked to me and asked, "Megan what's it, you seem very lost, your not cheerful at all, if don't like any of this let's go to another shop".

I shook my head and said, " No Mom, I am fine, I really like this" as I was convincing my Mom, I saw my Mom's eyes open widely, I turned to see what surprised my Mom so much, even I was taken back by what I saw, Daniel was holding a safranin colour partywear in his hands, with diamonds embedded on its front, it was a high neck dress, with back open, it was an ankle-length dress, it looked very beautiful before anyone says anything, Daniel walked to me, gave the dress to me and said," try this dress, it will be very good on you", I took the dress from him, and walked to the trail room, to try my dress, when I came out, all gave me a stunning look. We picked the dress that Daniel finally bought, Dad billed it, I didn't even attempt to look at Daniel.

The next day early morning my uncle came with my aunt, I had school, I got ready for school, and went out, my Dad dropped me near the crossroad, and left.

Daniel walked to me, took my bag and we both started to walk to school, we walked without talking anything, few minutes, Daniel broke the silence, Megan why didn't you reply to my messages, after reaching home. I never looked into my phone, so didn't know he had massaged me. I looked at him and said,

"I didn't see Daniel, I am sorry",

Daniel looked angry for no reason, he dragged me to the blind corner, pushed me to the wall, locked me between his arms, and looked down at me with a stern look,

" Megan, what's wrong with you, why are behaving so indifferently to me, it kills me when I see that scared look on your face when you look at me, I just wanted to tease you that day in-store, I didn't know that will affect you so much, come on, Megan... I didn't mean to hurt you, can you behave normally as before... Please". He begged.

I looked at him and said, "I just don't want you to get upset with me, I don't know what will upset you, Daniel"

He looked at me few seconds and suddenly pulled me into his embrace,

"Megan, i will never upset you, I am sorry about that day".

I felt warm in his arms, I just stayed there and enjoyed his warmth... and looked at him, and said,

" I Love You.. Daniel". I just want to keep you happy.

I will do anything that takes for that... I Promise.

Daniel Pov

Megan came to the store the next day, Mr Brain said me to show all the new arrival partywear to them, I asked the salespeople to get those new arrivals, Megan started to try the dresses that were selected, but nothing looked attractive on her, nothing complimented her beauty. She picked some random dress, I just walked to the storeroom on the top floor, this was an exclusive single piece of designer wear, it was bought only for showcasing as an advertisement, but I took that dress, walked to the third floor,

Before anyone can say anything I went to Megan with the dress and said her to try. I waited with everyone for Megan to walk out of the trial room. Megan stepped out,

"Jesus Christ... Who this girl in front of me was, Omg, please give me strength to resist the temptation of hugging this little goblin in front of her family"

Megan was mesmerising, she had no makeup, but her beauty complimented this dress so much... She looked like a painting walking out of a frame.

Mr Felix bought the dress, it was really a costly dress, nearly three months of my salary... I know now how different our both worlds were, but I had confidence, I can grow, to give her what she always deserves in her life. The next day as usual I picked her near the crossroad. We just walked quietly, which was killing me, she never replied to any of my messages last night. I asked Megan but she said that she never checked her mobile, and was sorry.

It so sad and angry at the same time, why was she so indifferent to me, after the incident at the store, I didn't do anything purposely to hurt her this much, I was struggling to explain myself, I tugged her to the blind corner, blocked her in between my arms,

"This tinny minion" she's my death... "

I was pleading with her to be normal with me again, I was not able to handle this version of her....

It was so dreadful, It was suffocating me, but Megan said that she was worried about me getting upset with her, and she didn't want me to get upset, looking at her sad look, my heart broke into pieces, I just was not able to control myself anymore, pulled Megan into my embrace, I held her, placed my chin on her head and said that she could never upset me, and I was so sorry to upset her on that day.

Again, this little goblin took me for surprise, Megan looked up into my eyes, and said,

"I Love You, Daniel... I will do anything to keep you happy"

I stood there without any sense left in me, while Megan, pulled herself from me and walked to her school,

I was so... I truly didn't know what I was feeling at that time, no one ever cared for me like this.. my happiness, did I even have happiness before meeting this little goblin...

She bought so much into my life, happiness, confidence, ambition, whatever I want to do or be is only because of her...

I never had any so-called plans in my life, no one even guided us with it.

Megan gave me every desire for my life, and what I will get by it, Will belong only to her... it's my Birthday gift for her...
