Accept It.

"Ahh I didn't mean that..I just..." Mila moved back while he walked in. 

"No with that mark there is nothing I can do to you but accept you as my daughter in law " he said. 

Mila froze ,she thought Damien had been not been serious about the bride part. 

" Your daughter in law " she stammered. 

He nodded. "I came to apologize about that day ...since we are going to be family there must be nothing like bad memories between us " he said. 

"Family ?" She said. 

"Damien chose you ..there is nothing special about you but if he wants you then there is nothing I can do but accept " 

" Am sorry am not worth it ...." she gazed up at him " But I will try to be I promise" 

He sighed ," What do you want from him? Is it the status,money or ..." 

Mila chuckled looking away," Apart from my best friend , he made me feel like I belonged somewhere . Had someone who cared for me too... asked if I ate or slept on an empty stomach , was sick or just wanted some company. He made me feel like I had the right to also feel " she had tears in her eyes. 

He moved back gazing at her " He made you feel loved!?" 

She nodded " That's why I would do anything to stay by his side " 

"Is that pathetic ?" He sounded. 

"Call it stupid, needy or pathetic I don't care. I have been unloved , unwanted by those I loved ...but it was only him who did it without even knowing who I was " 

"Maybe he wants something from you " said his father . 

"I don't care he can take it as long as he still wants me ...I will give it to him willingly " she blinked. 

He smirked, " How sad " 

She smiled her tears falling . He moved closer hugging her . Mila stiffened. 

"With that mark on you be content he won't leave you ....I hope you find what your searching for and fill that longing you have inside you " he said . 

" Thank you " she cried. 

He pulled away with a smile on his face...." Don't cry or my son will think I did something to you " 

She giggled wiping her tears. 

They heard footsteps and turned to see Damien walk in. 

"Dad you can't just go off like that and..." he stopped seeing Mila standing next to his father. 

He rushed to her side pulling her away from him " What did you do to her " he glared at his father while holding Mila in his arms.

His father chuckled " See I told you " 

She smiled ," Am okay I just got a bit emotional " 

" Did he say something bad to you?"asked Damien. 

" No , he said he accepted me " she wiped her tears. 

His father gazed at them and smiled. 

" Son I will leave now. You both take care and don't forget about tonight " he said to Damien.

"I won't " 

His father left and he turned his eyes back to her. 

"Are you sure your alright ?' he asked again . 

She nodded. 

" Your going somewhere tonight ?" She asked. 

"Mmm you might be home alone cause I might take long " he said. 

"It okay I can wait ,tomorrow is the weekend so I can go to bed late " she let out. 

They heard someone come in and Mila pulled away. 

"I will go ahead now " she said and walked out .

Mila and Samantha left work late , since Damien had left already she decided to go with Samantha.

"Mistress" she heard someone say. Mila turned to see Damien's driver standing next to the car. He opened the door gesturing her to get in. 

"Young master told me to pick you up" he said . 

Mila sighed " Is it alright if we drop my friend home first?" 

"Anything you please mistress" he said . 

Samantha giggled following her friend to the car . She turned to Mila " So you even uae his car and employees" 

Mila frowned " You better not start any rumours " 

"Rumours ...I don't need to everybody knows how much he cares for you " 

Mila leaned back telling the driver to set off . 

After dropping off Sam she asked them to first take her to her parents home. 

When they arrived she told them to leave first but they insisted on waiting . 

"Mila you came " smiled her mother as she hugged her, they let her inside .
