JASON’S LAST LETTER

'Amaya, my dear sweet Amaya.' The letter began as I teared up at his penmanship on the piece of paper before me.

'Our mate knew he was going to die.' Ares said as I skimmed through the detailed letter in my hands.

'Let's read through it first.' I told Ares as I struggled with my emotions. Just seeing his hand writing on a piece of paper was more than enough to break through whatever defenses I had built around my heart.

It took me months just to mention Jason's name again without wanting to fall apart. It took me even longer to remember the very few moments we had spent together.

Had it not been for our son, for Ash, I would have willingly followed him to the next world.

'Amaya, today I had a vision.' The letter read as I walked over to one of the couches in the small cabin.
