Dusk sets in as Nino drove to Beverly Hills with Joana and Daniel. The roads from Los Angeles to Beverly Hills were always busy, bustling with people. The evening breeze swept across her face, caressing her skin. She looked over her shoulders to Joana who leaned her head on the headrest of her seat, she placed a hand on her temple. fixing her on the roads.
Nino peeked at her, giving her a momentary look. Her eyes were on the streets but she sensed her mind was far away.
"Your face doesn't look okay? Is something bothering you?"
Joana spun her head to her and nodded. "Mhm. I guess because I have been locked up in the hospital for weeks, the streets and the people look new and kinda small to me."
"Small?"
Joana laughed. "I'm just exaggerating."
