First Kiss

Xavier tried to resist, but it was getting harder with each moment that passed.

'Why does she look even more beautiful than she did two minutes ago?' Xavier wondered, his gaze meeting Alice's affectionate eyes.

'Calm down, Xavier! Take a deep breath.'

'Hoo...' He exhaled, trying to calm his taut nerves.

'There are more important things at hand. Such as...'

"So, Alice you know that I'm Inferno Sentinel," Xavier said in a solemn voice.

"Yes! I immediately knew it was you from the name!" Alice answered.

"Then, have you told anyone else about my identity?" Xavier asked.

"No, I haven't." Alice answered.

'Phew... that's a relief.' Xavier thought, the tension in his chest easing slightly.

Despite his solemn expression, meant to intimidate, Alice's sparkling eyes betrayed her growing excitement.

"Alice, can you tell me all that you know about me?" Xavier asked.

"Sure," Alice agreed.

"You're 21 years old, a university student and a web novel author. You have no friends either. You have short black hair, black eyes, 181 cm tall. Although, I've never seen your parents, I know that you have a younger sister. Also, your three sizes are-"

"Alright! That's enough!" Xavier shouted his face red with embarrassment.

'This girl is just too shameless!'

"Hehe~" Alice giggled with a teasing expression.

"Eh?" Alice let out a sound of confusion as she felt the atmosphere becoming heavy. She looked at Xavier and saw that his eyes narrowed into slits like a predator.

"Alice, listen to me carefully." Xavier said with a solemn face. His earlier embarrassment nowhere to be seen.

"I only helped you on impulse. I won't help every stranger I see on the street. I am no hero. I am just a person trying to achieve his goals and protect his only family. If in order for me to achieve those two I need to sacrifice the lives of strangers I've never met, I won't hesitate."

"It doesn't matter to me." Alice replied without hesitation in a resolute voice.

"Huh?" Xavier blinked taken aback by her words.

He thought Alice would feel regret falling in love with a man like him, someone who only cares out his loved ones and goals and put everything else second.

Still, Xavier didn't give up and tried to change her mind.

"Even if I kill people?" Xavier asked.

"Darling, from all I've learned after following you for months—"

'You mean stalking.' Xavier thought.

"Is that, you're not the type to harm people. You'd only do so only if it's absolutely necessary." Alice said.

"..."

Xavier was quiet.

'Why is she so... nice?' He felt touched. However, he inwardly shook his head.

'This won't do. I need to make her understand the consequences of us being together.'

"Then, I have one final question. My journey will make me enemies, and they may come after those I love. Knowing that, do you still want to be with me?" Xavier asked.

"No," Alice denied as she shook her head.

"I see," Xavier still had the same expression, inwardly however, he felt a bit hurt.

'It makes sense, no one wants to be with a guy who might get them killed. I should be happy that Alice said no. Then, why does my heart feel so... heavy. I shou-' Xavier's thoughts were interrupted by a voice.

"I don't wish to be your wife because I already consider myself yours." Alice said with a smile.

"...!" Xavier's eyes widened.

In the next moment, he dashed forward.

Alice smiled knowing what was coming, happily stretched out her arms. She had been waiting for this very moment for a long time.

Whoosh

Xavier hugged Alice in a tight embrace. Alice did the same and wrapped her arms around him. She appeared as though trying to merge with Xavier.

"Why are you so nice?" Xavier asked.

"Says the one who goes around saving strangers." Alice replied.

They both released each other and looked into each other's eyes with affection. Alice closed her eyes knowing what was about to come next.

Xavier who saw that smiled a bit before moving his head forward.

Chu

Their lips met in a soft kiss, deepening as time passed. One kiss led to another until a minute had slipped away.

After kissing, they both parted their lips a string of saliva connecting them.

Since it was both their first time kissing they had saliva on their mouth.

Alice licked her lips, drinking the remnants of Xavier's saliva with a dreamy expression, her eyes brimming with affection.

Gulp

Xavier gulped finding her action quite sexy.

'I wish we could continue further, but I need to hold back.' Xavier thought to himself.

Alice also knew that that's why she hadn't pounced on Xavier yet.

"Hehe~" Alice started giggling slowly.

"Huh?" Xavier looked at her with a raised brow.

In the next moment,

"Hehehehehe~" Alice's soft giggles grew louder, taking on an unhinged edge as her eyes sparkled with uncontainable glee.

"Um... Alice are you okay?" Xavier asked.

However, Alice was on her own world and just kept on laughing. It was only after a minute had passed by did she stop but immediately after started saying something.

"I kissed him, I kissed him, I kissed him." She kept on repeating the same words like a broken record.

"..." Xavier had a blank expression on his face.

'She's definitely not normal. Well, I guess that's what made me fall in love with her in the first place. After all, no normal girl would risk her life to marry someone like me.' Xavier thought with fondness.

Inside a huge mansion,

The young man, with short black hair, fair skin and a stern yet handsome face, sat at a desk, his focus unwavering. A holographic screen hovered before him, casting a faint glow that reflected off his sharp features. His fingers moved tirelessly across the keyboard, a steady rhythm underscoring his intense concentration.

Knock Knock Knock

A series of firm knocks echoed through the room.

"Master Dwight, may I come in?" a voice called from behind the door.

"Haaa..." Dwight sighed as he stopped doing what he was.

He tapped the keyboard, and a screen materialized, revealing a middle-aged man with brown hair, dressed in the impeccable uniform of a butler, standing in front of a door. Recognizing him instantly, Dwight entered another command.

Fusshh

Moments later, the door slid open, and the butler stepped inside.

Dwight's expression hardened as he leaned forward, his gaze piercing.

"What is it, Brian? You know I'm busy at this time." His tone carried an edge of irritation.

"What is it, Brian? You know how busy I am at this time of the day don't you? I only opened since you knocked thrice." Dwight asked.

"I'm sorry, master. However, this matter is quite important." Brian answered.

"Hmm? For you to say something is important means it is. Go on tell me." Dwight said.

"It's about Mistress Alice." Brian answered.

Dwight's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"What happened?"
