Trevor's Nightmare; (2)

A loud piercing scream echoed in the unfamiliar place. It was night with the streetlights illuminating the street and making it easy for the little boy whose shadow was casted before him to see where he stood.

Fear was so evident in his eyes but he tried to be strong by concealing his dread. Though the little boy was on a thick hoodie, the night breeze was merciless on him as it cause him to shiver lightly from the cold.

For the second time again, he heard the scream and it was even louder this time as if the person was standing close to him. With a gasp, his eyes snapped to a particular building which was the only building that had light inside, the rest were dark like nobody was inside.

He remembered that voice and it brought tears to his eyes. That was his Mom's voice, she was screaming in pain.

"Mom?" He murmured, barely audible. What was his mother doing in a place like this? She was supposed to be home, making dinner for everyone.
