Lydia was just leaving the house after she had prepared Lexi's breakfast as suggested by the doctor. She was pretty much very close to Lexi since a very long time and Mr and Mrs Anthony trusted her enough to ask her to prepare Lexi's food for breakfast at home and bring it to the hospital.
She had the lunch box packed inside a red bag, it was made for Lexi to help the pain in her neck heal faster along with the medicines she took.
Lydia wore a very short blue gown that was exposing too much skin. It's length was above her milky fair lower thigh and her blonde hair was braided in a french braids.
Lydia was stepping out of the house when she caught sight of an expensive flashy car driving it's way into the front yard of the house, she frowned as she wondered who came to visit.
She walked towards the direction of the car in an attempt to walk pass it but the door was pushed open and a guy, obviously handsome with a light brown hair came out of the car. He looked so attractive on the suit he wore and it didn't take a second glance for Lydia to notice it.
Lydia immediately recognized him at first sight, he was the same guy from the other night, the guy who was Jesy's boyfriend not until they broke up.
The simple thought of Jesy made Lydia boil in rage but she kept it hidden perfectly behind the smile on her face. This might be the perfect time to revenge for what Jesy did to her that night. Her smile broadened at the thoughts that ran through her head.
Josh also recognized Lydia the moment his gaze fell on her. Perfect, he would ask a little help from her. He looked towards the house and knew that Jesy might not be at home by this time, although he wasn't really sure if she would be indoor.
"Good morning sir, it's good to see you once again."
It was Lydia who took the chance to greet him first. She couldn't let this tiny opportunity slip by. She wouldn't deny that she was smitten at how handsome Josh was, how could Jesy be so careless to let such handsome treasure slip out of her fingers. She was indeed stupid.
"Good morning, do you know if Jesy might be in?"
Josh immediately asked without beating around the bush. It was almost a whole week since Jesy decided to break up with him and he hadn't been himself ever since then. He hardly concentrated in his office work and he spent most of his time drinking himself to stupor. It was torturous knowing fully well that Jesy would never forgive him.
Lydia was annoyed that the first thing he cared and thought about was Jesy. He didn't even bother to give her a proper greeting.
"Oh, Jesy, she's not in. Why?"
Lydia pretended to be surprised when she was actually vexed.
Josh was disappointed to hear that Jesy wasn't at home but where could she be so early in the morning? He was sure that Jesy wasn't working because when he wanted to give her a suitable position in his office, she rejected it, he thought she rejected his offer because she wasn't ready to work yet. Although he was not happy about it but he decided to respect her decision.
"Where did she go? I have something to say to her and it's important."
Josh was so desperate but he was outwardly cool, he didn't want his desperation to be too obvious.
"She's at the hospital. After what she did that night, she was remorseful and came to apologize to Lexi."
Lydia lied through her teeth, her plan must go just as she wanted it.
Josh was relieved to know that Jesy was around, he had so much to say to her and he hoped she would give him a chance, a listening ears at least.
"Alright, let's go there together, I'll drive you there."
Josh said and turned around, he was about to walk back to his car when he felt something tug at the hem of his suit. It was a very expensive suit and he hated when his luxurious things were being damaged. A tiny rumple of this suit was very much capable of spoiling it's beauty. He turned around with a bloodshot eyes and glared at Lydia and she immediately let go of his suit.
Lydia was shocked at his sudden change in demeanor, this was the first time she was seeing him this way and his glare was so sharp that it was capable of cutting through any hard rock.
"Am so sorry. I just wanted to thank you for last night. You might not know it yet but Jesy has been like that for a long time now. She might be looking nice and sweet but it's all a facade to hide her true self. She's always hurting Lexi and sometimes me on daily basis but we never fought back, we couldn't fight back, she was way too strong for us. If you hadn't been there on time, I don't think she would have stopped and Lexi would have…."
Tears were already pooling up at the side of her eyes, Lydia's lips were quivering and she trailed off at the last sentence. Anybody who saw her would have been so sympathetic towards her if they didn't know better.
Josh was surprised at this revelation. He never thought Jesy could be like that. Complications were dancing in his eyes, he didn't know how to feel about it and Lydia was very much delighted to see her act was getting effective. Although, there was a little doubt in his eyes but she would let it be for sometime then she'll add a little fuel to the fire every once in a while. What a perfect plan.
