Wedding invitations had been sent out, elegant parchment adorned with shimmering gold ink. The chapel had been meticulously designed and decorated in anticipation of the grand occasion, every detail planned to perfection. All court duties had been paused in the wake of this celebration. Lavish wedding decorations and fragrant flowers had been delivered, transforming the castle of Caestria into a haven of joy and splendor.

Alexandra's mother was to arrive at the castle later that day, a prospect that filled Alexandra with a mix of excitement and trepidation. She hadn't seen Silverstein at all since breakfast; perhaps he had been busy with some pressing matter. As she walked through the corridors of the castle, she noticed servants and maids arranging fresh blooms, draping silk ribbons, and polishing the ornate furniture.
