North we go

It's been a couple of days since I was woke up. The story of my transformation still surprises me.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when my stomach made itself known.

Getting out of the bed I walk out of my room and into the hall. I didn't encounter anyone while making my way to the dining hall.

Getting a tray of meat I sit down and start eating. While lost in thoughts someone taps my shoulder.

I turn around and see someone I don't know.

" The king has summoned you." He doesn't give any explanation and starts walking off.

Finishing the rest of my food I make my way to the throne room.

In it I can see Jay, the popular boy, Hiro the bully, and the random knight standing beside the king.

The King looks up at me from a book he's reading, the language of the title is unknown to me.

" Ah good you're here. I'll get to the point. I ordered some scholars to research the ancient section of the library to see if there is anything said about hell hounds." The king pauses before looking at the knight beside him.

The knight continues what the king says" There was not much we could find besides what we already know. Until we found this book. This book is written in 10 different lost languages. What we have deciphered is about the transformation you had when fighting that demon. It requires specific conditions to transform. What conditions we don't know yet. The other stuff we managed to decipher are things we already know." Done with his explanation, Jay walks towards me.

" And that's why we are going to some ancient dungeons to see if we can get anything that can help us decipher this book. The others have already split up to go to the other dungeons. Me, you, and Hiro are going to the dungeons far north. We decided for you to go there, because your flames could defend against the cold. If you have any questions now is the time."

I think for a bit before asking my questions" What are the chances of demons being there?"

The King answers" There is no chance of demons being at any of these dungeons besides the one hidden in the volcano. No human is able to survive the heat there. We were gonna send you by yourself there, but you would not have any backup against the demons and the unknown monsters of the dungeons."

I ask another question" How long is it gonna take to get there?"

Hiro speaks up" It'll take about a month to get there by sea and a year by land. And that's not even counting the time we have to stop for supplies, getting attacked by bandits, pirates or any monsters out there."

" What would be the most dangerous monster from both paths?"

" Traveling from land is always the same. Random dragon appearing or demons." Hiro said.

The King answered for the monster in the sea" And through the sea specifically the one y'all have to go through there is actually two. Scylla and Charybdis. If you encounter either of these survival is slim to none. And through any sea would be a hydra."

I gulp nervously at what I heard. If I remember correctly Scylla and Charybdis are two sea monsters from Greek mythology back in my old world. Scylla is the six headed one, I think, if we encounter this one there is a chance we can survive. But Charybdis on the other hand. There is no chance of survival. All it needs to do is appear under us and open it's mouth. And then we'd die. We wouldn't be able to do anything about it either. We'd just fall right into it's mouth.

I look back and forth between everybody's eyes and ask" And which way are we going through?"

" We have to go through the sea. If we take land we would be gone for to long. It's riskier but we have no choice. Go pack your things. We'll head to the next town where our boat it is. And buy the best monster repellant available. If it helps at all we are going to need it." Jay said.

And with those words me, Jay, and Hiro go to our rooms to pack our things. I hope there's at least something in this dungeon. Because we might not even make the journey there.

I know I haven't updated in a while I've been wanting to update it but the urge to play elden ring is to high
