Chapter 14

Within a short while, the black vehicle pulled up in front of an isolated building coloured in blue.

Avery could recognize the building at the spot. It was the very building where her father, Hillary, would bring those who crossed him, dealing with them ruthlessly.

She recalled how, five years ago, when she rescued Don, this was the initial location her father brought her for retribution before ultimately confining her to a room in their house. 

No one needed to tell her that it was Hillary who had organized her kidnap. So as soon as she caught sight of the house, she shivered in fear.

Memories of how she was ill-treated by her father's men five years ago flashed through her mind at once!

They had beaten her until she became blind and paralysed, and she wondered what they were up to this time, and what offence she had committed.

Without delay, the men grabbed her by the two sides and pushed her into the house, kicking her violently.
