Chapter 9 – He certainly must be a young master of a rich family

"No, don't bring him here yet, and don't let him know we're interested in him."

The elderly old man inside the office at the back of the casino said to blacky softly.

"Okay boss."

"I have a feeling that this boy would still come here again," The elderly man continued. "We need to study him better and know if he was just basing his winnings on luck or if he has talents in gambling."

"No problem boss," Black replied the elderly man respectfully.

"Hey, you,"

The lean man who was seated on the chair with one part of his butt suddenly looked up with a start when he heard that he was being called by the boss, not the big boss, but the boss.

"Ye- yes Sir."

"Tell the cashier to pay the boy's winning and also tell the guards to protect the boy and his friends in the dark so they would not be harmed."

"O- okay sir."

Back in the casino hall, Li Yu was bombarded with a series of questions.

He answered the ones he could and left the ones he couldn't unanswered.

Li Yu became frustrated as the gambling addicts were giving him no breathing space.

"Everybody is to disperse with immediate effect and go back to what you were all doing before."

A muscular guy dressed in a black suit and black shades suddenly shouted in a deep and cold voice.

The gambling addicts became very unhappy when they heard what the muscular man said, but can they do a thing against him?! Of cause no, they were all in the man's territory.

"What a crazy bunch of people!" Li Yu exclaimed deep inside.

"Yu bro, how did you do it?!" Huizhong was currently looking at Li Yu as if looking at a rare gem.

LI Yu spread his arms helplessly as if telling him; "How would I know, I was only trying my luck."

"Big brother, let's go collect the winning and leave here ASAP, I can feel lots of people looking at us will greediness and unfriendly eyes."

Zhalan was feeling uncomfortable with the greedy eyes that were staring at her big brother.

Li Yu also looked around curiously and saw that he was been stared at greedily. He immediately felt a chill run over his body.

Li Yu felt that he had been too high profile today. He felt that if he does not leave as soon as possible, he might draw unnecessary attention to himself and his friend.

"Little girl, you are right."

Li Yu went directly to the dealer to collect his winning.

"Do you think they will give him his reward?!"

"I don't know, they might not want to give him that huge amount of money, especially since he's too young."

The crowd was currently muttering quietly.

And true to what they thought, the dealer told Li Yu to go meet the cashier. She told him she is not in a position to pay that huge amount of money.

She wrote on a piece of little paper for Li Yu to go give the cashier.

"Hai!!! I was right, it seems that's how they would be sending him around till he gives up on the money."

The person that answered the question before said in pity for Li Yu.

"F*CK these thieves, why wouldn't they just pay the money?! I would have just helped him keep it."

Some people thought wickedly.

Li Yu who does not seem to understand what's going on said his thanks to the dealer and left there with Zhalan and Huizhong on his tail.

"Oh!!! So you're the lucky boy that won $10,944 with just 2 cents."

The Cashier, a middle-aged man that looked like a businessman was currently sizing Li Yu up in amazement.

Li Yu scratched his head in embarrassment as he wasn't expecting the higher-ups to have received the news of his winning.

"So back to the matter at hand, your winning was $10,944. Do you want to receive it in cash or bank transfer?"

How many people use banks in this age? It's not like in the future that having a bank account is as normal as having your shoes and clothes.

In early 2000, one would be a rich businessman, a great politician, or a millionaire to have a bank account.

Li Yu thought as he rolled his eyes speechlessly at the middle-aged man.

"Cash would be much-appreciated sir."

"Oh… I thought you would want to receive it into a bank account." The man said playfully.

"You must be joking sir, I do not even have one if I wanted to use it."

"hahaha…."

So, the man said as he typed on a keyboard one after the other while sharing at a computer screen.

Li Yu looked at the computer deeply for a while and couldn't help but think;

"Why is the computer in this generation so ugly."

This is the first time Li Yu would be seeing the ancient computer in his past and present life.

In his last life, it was until when he was twenty-something that he saw a computer for the first time.

He could remember how fascinated he was at that time.

Looking at the way the middle-aged man was treating the computer at his front so carefully as if he might break it if he touched it too hard.

After typing on the computer for some minutes, the man excused himself and only came back after another few minutes.

"Take."

The man pushed a white envelope that looked like it had been overfed to Li Yu.

With a barely notable shaky hand, Li Yu received the money while crying in his heart; "I- I, this- this, I was not able to save anything close to this even after working my ass off in my last life."

The middle-aged man was currently impressed by Li Yu because his expression had been unchanged from the beginning till now.

He thought Li Yu was not moved or pressed my the money and things he won.

"He must be a young master of a rich family that was too bored at home." The man thought.

He would never have known that the reason why Li Yu's expression had been unchanged since the beginning was that he was actually unimpressed by everything he saw, and the reason why he had the same expression on his face even after receiving his reward was that he was too stunned to react.

"You may confirm it."

Zhalan, the only one who was still in her right sense amongst the trio pinched Li Yu's waist when she realized he was unresponsive.

Luckily, the middle-aged man had returned and focused on his computer to notice.

"you were speaking to me?!"

Li Yu who was pinched awoke looked at Zhalan in anger and saw that she was giving him a sign that said the middle-aged man was speaking to him.

"Oh- I said you may confirm the money."

"No need good sir, I trust you." Li Yu said dismissively as he kept the bulged envelope in his jean pocket which only made the middle-aged man feel his thought was right.

"He certainly must be a young master of a rich family."

The man thought.

"Can we leave now?!"

Li Yu's voice interrupted the man's thought.

"Hun, yes you may. Please come back in the future."

Although the man thought otherwise, and even does not wish for Li Yu to come again, since he might wreck them, he still had to say that, since his boss, Blacky said he must.

"Oh… I can still come back?!"

Li Yu who was about leaving was stunned when he heard the man say he can come again in the future. He had thought they wouldn't want him coming here again in the future and had even begun planning to look for another casino.

"Yes, yes please."

Even though the man was praying that Li Yu would not come back again, still he must respect boss Blacky's wish, or else he won't know how he had died.

"Okay then, I would come again in the future."

Li Yu said as he turned back, dragging the still stunned Huizhong

"What a pitiful boy?"

When everybody saw the expressionless Li Yu, the stunned Huizhong, and the unknowing look on Zhalan's face, the crowd in the casino hall felt the casino had cheated Li Yu.

"He should have come with someone older when he was coming."

"That's what he deserves, how dare he win that huge amount of money when I, his father had not even won 10 times before."

It's already getting late outside.

"Had it been long since we entered?" Li Yu asked speechlessly.

"What do you think big brother?!" Zhalan replied sarcastically.

"When are you going to wake up fatty?!" Zhalan was already getting irritated by how long Huizhong had been stunned.

She smacked Huizhong's head in anger so that he would wake up, but this does not work at all.

Li Yu shook his head speechlessly and suddenly said; "Hai!!! It's so unfortunate we had lost that huge amount of money we had won."

This seems to have done magic as immediately after Li Yu finished talking, the stunned Huizhong suddenly regained consciousness.

"What- what did you just say?" Huizhong asked in anger.

"How- how dare you lose that money?! I will kill you today." He lunged at Li Yu in anger.

Huizhong felt that he might die out of anger at this moment. 'how did they lose that huge amount of money?! He had already begun calculating all the things he would buy with that money."

The more Huizhong think, the angrier he became.

"Hold on a second bro, hold on a second, I was only playing pranks, f*ck?!"

Li Yu was so speechless now, he didn't expect his good bro to love money to this extent.

Breathing heavily, Huizhong separated himself from Li Yu and began cursing at Li Yu for playing pranks on him.

Li Yu immediately began apologizing over and over again.

Zhalan was busy watching the movie being played out happily at the side while giggling.

Huizhong finally calmed down after a while.

"Let's go quickly, we need to hurry up and go buy everything we need," Huizhong said with stars shining in his eyes.

"Are you crazy you damned fatty?! Hadn't you realized that time is gone already?! We need to hurry up and return home ASAP before aunt returns."

Zhalan does not expect Huizhong to be this unreasonable.

"Are you saying we would not touch this huge money today?!"

Huizhong felt like crying moment when he realized that what Zhalan said was true and that they needed to return to Li Yu's house as soon as possible.

"Don't worry bro, don't we still have weekends available to buy anything we want."

"What of tomorrow?!"

"We're going to school."

"Okay…."

Huizhong finally reluctantly gave in.

"I WOULD NOT LEAVE IF YOU DON'T PAY MY MONEY TODAY!!"

"Sister please, just give me the grace of today. I saved up the money, then my son suddenly got hospitalized. I had no choice but to use the money.

Sister please, I promise to return the money to you first whether I borrow or beg by tomorrow morning."

Back at Li Yu's house, a wide-faced aunty was currently shouting in anger while Mu Shi was begging the woman with tears in her eyes.
