Chapter 46

Draco's POV

Nothing was the same. Kehlani locked me out of her bedroom and didn't even utter a word. My dad had to get me to stop banging on her door and even then I was hesitant.

My mom was really affected by Pito's death, although doing her normal activities her smile didn't reach her eyes.

Today we were doing a small memorial without the body, which was already burned. We don't usually do this, but Pito was closer to us than any other member.

Dad, as usual, had his 'indestructible man' act up, but I could almost see right through it. There was a dark cloud over this house, even Helga behaved less cunningly.

"Kehlani?" I whisper once again, leaning my head on the door with my eyes closed. "I'll be in the backyard if you need me... we're doing something for Pito."

No answer, even as waited another five minutes, I sigh walking away.

I could blame her one bit. It was my fault.
