CHAPTER 18: I WANT TO MEET HER

RAJ 'S POV

I came back to my home, my mom opened the door as always, she didn't sleep and was waiting for me

I hugged her as soon as I saw her

you are still awake, I told you ,i will be late, I said and sat on sofa, she looked at me lovingly

Where is your blazer, she asked me

"it is with Simran", I suddenly realized what I said and looked at her, mom was looking at me and smirking

"Mom, she was feeling cold I just ...

she immediately said, I wanna meet her

"what", I asked her in shock

"I want to meet that girl who brought back this smile on my son's face, I want to thank her", mom replied to me, she was almost in tears

I went to her and hugged her tightly

Mom, jo aap soch rahe ho wesa kuch nahi hai, she is very good friend of mine, and I like to spend time with her, that's all

she broke from the hug and cupped my face with her palm and said " I want to meet your friend"

"but mom how should I invite her, she will get uncomfortable, suddenly if I invite her , pls try to understand " I tried my best to convince my mom to change her mind

"if that's the case, you can invite all your friends for lunch tomorrow " said mom

"ok mom" , I said with a smile on my face

"ye tho bata do ki reason kya bolu?" I asked my mom

"tell them it's my birthday ", said mom

but mom, jhoot bolna padega? ,I asked her

"she smiled and nodded" yes

ab mai apne room mai jaau? I am really very tired, I asked my mom

bhook lagi hai kuch banaa du? mom asked

no, I am full , good night mom , I said and went towards my room

I was really tired, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled, what a night , I closed my eyes for few minutes and I remembered what all happened how i touched her lips with my mine, and how she apologized, though it should be me who should have apologized to her, I opened my eyes immediately

I was so worried for her again, because the way she got scared it was not normal, she didn't look normal, it was not easy for me to calm her down, the way her body shivered, I can't forget that, i wanted to speak to her right now, I took my mobile and looked at the time, it was almost 11:30, may be she slept already, I should not disturb her, I thought and went to bathroom to change

I came back from bathroom and layed down on my bed, I was not able to sleep , the way she cried and the way she got scared those flash back were making me restless, I kept thinking about her, and I don't know when I dozed off....

Next morning Simran got up early, she was feeling weak because of the anxiety attack last night

IN kitchen

simran - good morning mom

Mom - good morning , aaj itni jaldi utt gayi

Simran - mom kuch accha nahi lag raha

Simran's mom looked at her , she went to check her temperature

Mom - it's 99 ° , tumhe tho bukhaar hai, what happened last night? you usually Fall sick after an anxiety attack, did something happen yesterday?

Simran - nothing happened mom, I just ate an ice cream last night may be cold ki wajeh

( Simran Lied to her mom)

her mom gave her medicine and asked her to take rest, and skip the college today

Simran - mom i am fine, it's just a fever, I can manage , don't worry, I will get ready

Mom - lekin, you look weak ,you should rest

Simran ran away to get ready without listening to her

She was about to get inside the bathroom when her mobile rang

It was Raj 's CALL

Simran - raj itni subha

Simran picked up the call

Raj - good morning

Simran - good morning

Raj - Tum theek tho hona? ( he asked softly, he was really worried for her)

simran smiled and was so overwhelmed for his concern towards her

Simran - I am fine

Raj - your voice,kya huwa hai tumhaari aawaaz ko?

Simran - wo thoda cold ho gaya hai, I am fine Raj

Raj was quite for a minute, Simran waited for him to say something , after 1 minute of silence

Simran - do you want to ask something ?

Raj - Simran can I come to pick you ?

Simran didn't know what to say, she was happy for his genuine concern and care towards her but she didn't want to trouble him anymore

Simran -we friends usually come together so

before Simran could complete the sentence Raj spoke

Raj - I informed seema about it so can I?

Simran - ok

Raj - see you soon, bye

Simran - bye

Simran's POV

I looked at myself in the mirror , I looked so weak and pale, I took a plain white sleeveless kurti and paired it up with blue jeans , I was still not feeling good, I wanted to deny him but I just couldn't, his concern and the way he was worried for me made me so happy, after having a bath, I applied compact,eye liner and lip gloss, didn't apply much make up , I tied my hair in a pony tail and came downstairs to inform my mom about Raj 's arrival

My brother and dad were having a discussion about their meeting, i greeted them

Dad - you look weak and tired

( dad noticed it and came towards me and checked my temperature, and examined my eyes )

you have fever, nobody cared to inform me? ,questioned dad angrily

I just gave her medicine, mom explained

her face has become so pale and weak, did she sleep well last night, dad started his questioning session

(Dad still treats me like a baby , and he always asks mom to take care of me properly)

my mom informed him about my last night 's outing

Why did you allow her to stay out till late, you are so irresponsible , dad scolded mom

Dad I am fine, pls don't scold mom it's not her fault, I just ate an ice cream last night , I explained him everything and hugged him to calm him down

you are not going to college today,take rest , my dad ordered

but dad I have an important lecture today and I don't want to miss it at any cost, pls trust me I will take care of myself properly I promise you, I started making a puppy face to convince him

fine, then I will drop her, my brother replied

bhai wo Raj is coming to pick me up, I said

Raj?, ye kon hai? asked dad

her friend, very nice boy, he picked her up yesterday too and dropped her last night, mom answered

but still I think she should take some rest, she looks so weak, said dad

I am fine dad pls let me go, I will come back soon if I don't feel good

ok but promise me you will go for check up tomorrow and visit the psychiatrist too, dad ordered me

ok fine , I replied to him

Mom gave me some soup and toast and made me finish it everything

meanwhile my mobile rang, it was Raj, I picked up the call

Raj - I am at your gate

Simran - ok I am coming

mom : you should call him inside

Simran - mom we are getting late already

mom - I will call him

she said and went out side before I could say something

I followed her

RAJ 'S POV

I got up early in fact i didn't sleep whole night, I was so worried for Simran,I skipped my gym session , I wanted to see her ASAP, it was a strange feeling which I never experienced before, I called her to inform I will pick her up , as soon as I called her, I felt relieved after hearing her voice, but her voice sounded differently, I asked her she replied she has cold, when I asked her that I will pick her, she tried to refuse indirectly but agreed in the end

I got ready quickly,mom was arranging breakfast for us, dad and my brother were discussing about the case

I was finishing my breakfast in hurry , mom noticed it

Mom - aaraam se khaao

"mom I have an important match today", I lied to her

" you and your important matches" mom said with an annoying expression on her face

"so you will invite them today? asked mom

"mom, zaruri hai kya I mean, let's invite them on Sunday please", I tried my best to change her mind

" no invite them today, I have already ordered the maids to prepare a good lunch, and your bhabhi is free too today" , said mom

"yes I am free today, virat ki school bhi nahi hai aaj", said babhi

" fine , I will tell them to join us on dinner, I said

"koyi aaye na aaye Simran aani chahiye" said bhabhi with a smirk on her face

Simran? dad and bhai asked together

"i am getting late" , I said and left without explaining anything to them

I reached at her house and called her to inform,I saw someone coming towards me,may be her mom I thought

"Good morning " I greeted

"good morning beta, come inside have a breakfast with us,oh by the way I am simran's mom "

"no aunty we are getting late , I will come some other day",I said with a smile on my face

"promise?" , she said

"promise", I replied with a huge smile on my face

meanwhile Simran came out

"good morning" , she said

"good morning" , I greeted her

she looked really weak, she was still trembling while walking, she looked pale and unwell, I felt bad for her

she hugged her mom and sat on the bike, I started the bike

Raj - tum theek ho?

Simran - this was not needed , I mean I am fine , you shouldn't have to be bothered about it

I looked at her from the mirror of the bike, she was looking uncomfortable , and was not even looking at me

I remained quite and didn't say anything

Simran - Raj ek baat puchu?

Raj - haan

Simran - aap ye sab kyu kar rahe ho mere liye?

I looked at her in mirror of the bike ,I didn't have any answer to her question and I didn't expect this question from her

There was silence between us after this question , and we reached to the college

she got down from the bike, I parked the bike and we went together inside the campus

"Are you ok?" I asked her again

she looked at me and smiled

"just caught up with cold and fever, i will be fine super soon" , she said

"isiliye mana kar raha tha ice cream mat khaao, thele ki ice cream" , I said

"aap ne bhi khaayi thi", she replied with a smirk

"Tumhaari wajeh se" , I said

"it's not because of ice cream it happens after an anxiety" ... she stopped talking and looked at me with a shocked expression

may be she accidently said something which she wanted to hide

I looked at her, she got uncomfortable , I tried to change the topic

Raj - "tumhe basketball khelna aata ? "

she looked at me and said "no"

come let's go to the basket ball court,I said

she followed me without saying anything
