Playing Hookie

Letting out a Sigh, Alex picked up the phone placing it to his ear. "Mi Sung?" He said softly as if he didn't want to be heard by Kaia. On the other end of the phone, Mi Sung blinked. "Alex?! You finally Answered! Thank god."She exclaimed in excitement. "What are you doing? Where are you?" She asked, and Alex frowned as he quickly thought of what to say on the spot. "I'm getting ready for bed; It was a long day of work… Sorry to cut this short but I really need some sleep. I'll call you later," He said quickly before closing his phone. He let out a deep sigh before looking up to the sky. Realization was setting in slowly. He was getting married, and he was messing around with his ex-wife. He frowned as his gaze went to his feet. He knew it wasn't right, but he wanted to spend as much time with Kaia as possible. He truly still loved her no matter what.

Mi Sung growled under her breath. "How dare he hang up on me…" She cursed out loud. She stopped thinking of something, "That's right! I can track his phone and just go to where he is, and with a private jet it won't take long at all…" She moved over to her laptop, swiping it up in her arms with a smirk. She grabbed a large jacket and made her way to the mainland to achieve wifi access again.

Mi sung ended up in a 24/7 internet cafe at the bottom of the mountains. They stayed open for mostly the travelers and truckers that come through the area. Mi Sung connected to the wifi and found the number to the phone company he used. She quickly called the Company's 24/7 Customer Service line. Mi Sung didn't think her phone would go through, but it actually did! The person on the other end of the answered. "Hello, Thank you for calling Wired. This call might be monitored. How may I help you today?" Mi Sung sat straight with a smile. "Hello? Yes! My fiance lost his phone and was wondering if you could track it?" ----

Alex made his way back into the house seeing Kaia leaned against the back of the couch asleep. Alex tilted his head and smiled softly. Everything reminded him about when they first were married. He walked over to the couch and sat next to her gently reaching his hand up to stroke her hair. A big part of him was very happy she was still alive. Then there was a part that wanted to complicate things. He wanted Kaia. Maybe he could break things off with Mi Sung? He thought to himself. Though that wouldn't be fair to Mi Sung. Also, the fact about the company benefiting from the marriage. Alex let out a sigh as he stroked her hair for a bit before leaning his head back as well closing his eyes, letting the darkness take over his thoughts.

The next morning Alex and Kaia were snuggled up on the couch laying down with Kaia half way on Alex and Alex's arms tightly around her. It was the weekend, so Kaia didn't set her alarm that night.

Alexa sleepily walked out of her room rubbing her eyes with a big yawn. First, she went to Kaia's room. "Mummy?" She called out blinking as she saw the room empty. She tilted her head and walked to the living room and stopped seeing the two on the couch. Alexa couldn't help but have a smile spread across her face. She silently cheered in her head as she walked out to the kitchen, carefully not to make a sound as she got herself a glass of chocolate milk.

Alexa was chugging the milk when a knock appeared at the door. Alexa blinked and put her glass down walking over to the door. She wasn't supposed to open the door for strangers, but she really didn't want her mum and dad to wake up. Especially since they seemed to be getting along. Alexa carefully unlocked the door pulling it open. "He-" Alexa froze her eyes widening at the figure she saw at the doorway.

Alexa stood frozen for a second. "Auntie Mi Sung?!?" Alexa said in shock as she stared up at Mi Sung. Mi Sung was a bit shocked as well, her brows furrowing. "This is why he played hooky?" She growled lightly. Alexa took a moment before closing the door in her face. 'Oh no…' she thought to herself. She ran to the couch shaking Alex. "PAPA! Auntie Mi Sung is here!" She said in a desperate attempt to wake him up. Alex groaned as Kaia began to move. Kaia yawned lightly. "Alexa...what?"

Alexa stumbled over her words a bit as she shook Alex again." Daddy! It's Mi Sung!" She ran back over to the door pulling it open." See!" she exclaimed. Mi Sung's face became a glare as she saw the two on the couch together.

Alex quickly stood up with a frown. "Mi Sung? What are you doing here? How did you find me?" He asked walking towards the door, his words basically saying he didn't want to be found. Kaia frowned and stood up from the couch with a sigh. She felt a sharp pain in her chest as she took Alexa's hand. "C'mon baby girl. Mummy will make breakfast." She said taking Alexa in the kitchen.

Kaia went back to the doorframe. " Alex let her in and closed the door; we aren't heating the outside." She said with a bit of an attitude even though she didn't know why. She didn't have a reason to be… jealous? Kaia sighed as she continued to prepare breakfast. Which included eggs, bacon, and biscuits.

Alex invited Mi Sung in and pulled the blanket from the couch, folding it before placing it on the back of the couch. Mi Sung looked around before back at him. "You ran off and planned to push our wedding back to come play hooky with Alexa's Mom?" She said angrily with a frown. Alex sat down with a sigh. " It wasn't like that…" he said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

Mi Sung sat down with a disgusted look. She couldn't see how Alex could be comfortable with so many cheap things around. She crossed her arms. "Then what?" She tilted her head in question. Alex sighed. "Alexa needed me...I really did come for work… I actually scouted a few kids from K-." he stopped himself. Kaia didn't want anyone to know. He was going to have to be more careful. "Mia's class…"This made Mi Sung scoff. "It looked very different in my view seeing you both wake up in each other's arms!" she basically screamed so that Kaia could hear.
