after breakfast Nicolas took Alex to his family's library , there is a traceless expansion cast on this room, Nick tapped his wand on a book shelf and took out a book called Alchemy : the principle of equivalent exchange , it's written by Nicolas himself of his views and experience on alchemy these 600 years, the book is half foot thick, he gave that book to Alex and said," I read most of the books in here about alchemy, experimented with them and recorded them in that one. read it well Alex, although your knowledge about Alchemy and even has runes that no one in present generation has, you lack application prowess on it, this will help you develop in that aspect".

after that Alex went to the table beside the door and began to read the book , but another book on the table caught his eye and glanced at it, he began to read the book about ancient magic, like this he is immersed in the book since it has healing magic purifying runes that has the power to purify black magic or evil practices and rituals on living things like horcruxes, he was shocked after he read that as he thought only he can remove black magic traces from living things but this text crushed his views and the magic is far more advanced than his dispel his magic can only remove poisons and curses along with some minor status ailments, but the purification in the book can even remove soul fragments from living things without harming them, the only down side is it costs huge amounts of magic, with his magic scale he can barely remove a soul fragment.

he learned the spell and tested it on a cursed ring he got from a store in USA, he bought some objects from there so that he could practice removing dark arts, he cast purification on it and his magic drained 30 points to remove the curse, he concluded with the ring of sage and his magic he can successfully purify some horcruxes, because he felt there are more than 6 horcruxes as he exchanged the soul fragments, the evil magic in the objects become more fierce than before

as he exchanged the first soul fragment from the time in orphanage. he guessed it by this.

as he is continued to read the book perenelle who arrived to call Alex for lunch watched him reading a book in ancient elf language, she frowned and asked," Alex do you know ancient elven language, you're reading the book as if you knew about it". Alex frowned and looked the book again but he noticed it's not in English but a completely different language and he could read it even though he hadn't learnt the language, he asked the system," hey ,system do you know anything about this? , I can read a language I have never seen before, explain to me". the system responded:

perenelle on the other hand is shouting Alex's name since he is dazed and Alex woke up from his daze as he is talking with the system.

perenelle asked if he's okay and also about whether he understands elven language, Alex replied yes and perenelle is shocked then asked Alex to explain about what he studied in the text as she also translate it into word by word for a page and it took her a year, Alex read about the healing magic of elves and it's principles, perenelle looked at Alex with an amused gaze and write what he said in a book.

Nicolas also came to the library and asked perenelle what is she asking?, then perenelle told Nicolas about Alex being able read elven language subconsciously, Nicolas didn't believe it but after Alex read the book, he is stunned because the words are not of English, they are clearly an unknown language with strange pronounciation.

Alex now is overjoyed as he can read Slytherin's book along with activating the locket, he can even open the chamber of secrets next year and is happy about this, Nicolas and perenelle brought many ancient texts written in elven script, other ancient languages, he read them all and got some knowledge and also translated them for Nicolas flamel.

invisibility - grants the user invisibility with a duration of one hour per day, this effect can be activated if one hour is not extinguished that day.

snake affinity - the user will have an affinity with snakes that can make them friendly and favourable towards you.

poison immunity - except the basilisk venom all the poisons will detoxified instantly when they entered user's body.

inheritance key - this is a key to open the inheritance in chamber of secrets.

after seeing the locket is awakened Alex smiled and tried it's effects, he can become invisible similar to invisibility cloak and this can also block life signs and vitality like the cloak. the protective shield is also strong enough to withstand 8 of his attacks at once.

he placed the locket in his inventory with a smile and took out the book from his inventory then looked around the book for clues as open or awake in snake language didn't work on it.

he then saw the snake pattern on its binding and also words written on the binding.
