Harry Potter and Dreams Lost

The Universe was born once. Actually, it was born a lot of times. An infinite amount one could say. Enough times to fit a metaphorical infinitely empty egg. The Multiverse was born a single time...maybe, but that's all a moot point if a bored Eldritch amalgamation is a little too bored. Luckily, a cyborg named Thomas found her a little replica world for her to play in. Let's just hope not too many creatures go extinct. /* A non-serious Harry Potter fanfiction. No set upload schedule as of yet. Almost all characters belong to J.K. Rowling, except a few Oc's Might be harem(TBD), and if I can figure out tags Please don't sue me. */

Fast-Paced Prologue

I sit nowhere.

Float really, if you were to care about semantics.

Left only with only my thoughts and the multiverse happening around me for company.

Oops, anachronism. Let's forward that problem to Yuki.

Huh, a new dimension is being born? Thomas's issue.

Hmm, physics has a slight migraine because of some overzealous humans? I guess that would be my problem, but I can let that one slide.

Yep, that's me, Dreamer. The inter-/intra-dimensional tentacle creature from before the birth of the universe denigrated to be a middleman. The Mother of All Forgotten, That Which Rests Between Dreams, etc, etc.

This sucks, man! I wanna do something. I wanna be something!

…Other than my perfect self. My true form is way, way too big to fit…anywhere. I just need to do something. Go on an adventure, cause chaos, maybe discover a few human emotions.

Humans: interesting little creatures. First to get the evolutionary arms race of every world—mainly throwing things—and in general also being the worst people in the everything. Either racism or slaves, or general discrimination.

Separate but equal. I believe that was what one person said and kinda screwed things over for like most of a century.

If I were to go on an adventure, I'd like a healthy dose of racism, so my amazing self can pummel them into atoms.

I also liked that girl that came here once. Let's see how she's doing. Hmm, oh. Fine. Using my name in vain, but other than that, fine. However, that universe does have…Thomas.

Wait a second, an asteroid got flung off of its orbit, towards me. Let's just knock that away with a love tap.

Oh, and the dinosaurs are gone. On that Earth at least. Some others have them still. Those planets have weird…rules. Like giant ants!

I grip a tentacle with another tentacle; splicing one with the other. The little end maintains my primary consciousness as I send it towards Thomas.

Upon landing, I morph into my eleven-year-old form. Purple dress and all. My hair-tacles drift through the air like it were water, causing physics to scratch its head in confusion, then promptly run in fear.

"Why?" I hear an exasperated sigh from behind me. Opening the eyes on my hair, I make eye contact with Thomas. He's resting on his couch, clearly tired from something. I can't figure out what though. He's heavily encrypted his mind with kind of gibberish.

"I'm bored!" I complain, fists clenched as I pout. I turn so Thomas can see my adorable pout. "I wanna adventure. Or do something other make things work for once!"

"Dreamer," he says, slowly, "I do have cause to be worried. You remember what happened the last time I let you roam around a dimension uninterrupted, right? Those weird, time-warping, dimension-breaching not-trees were made. In fact, they made their own dimension and have been a real thorn in my ass."

I wave him off. "Psh. The humans seem to be dealing with it just fine."

"I'm not sure the humans are completely sane," he deadpans. "They seem to be dealing with Alcatraz with zero haste."

I cough. "Well, why don't you come with me?"

He stares at me for a short moment. Twenty minutes later, he says, "You want me…to leave my happy, slightly safe home, and go and babysit you in a strange land?"

"Yep!"

"Hmm," he hums. Standing up, he walks over to a shelf with several snow globes sitting, perfectly dusted and polished. He runs his fingers over them like picking through a file before he grabs one with an old castle figure in the midst of a snowstorm.

He gingerly picks it up and twists a dial on the bottom, turning the weather within to a more temperate, springy climate. "That'll do," he murmurs to himself, then turns to me. "Follow me."

A portal opens to a snowy plain in a forgotten world. Tucked in a meta-physical corner of everything, this one stands alone, yet linked to others.

I jump through the portal, walking after Thomas. He walks for a bit, looking around periodically, then stops. In the center of a kind of flat piece of land, he twists the snow globe a few inches into the dirt.

The shell fractures…cracks…shatters. It still maintains a general shape, but it's no longer a sphere. No, it's a infinite-hedron. Ever shifting, ever formless.

I blink.

It's warm. There's trees. The sky looks like it's falling, but it's just glass.

We're inside the subspace globe. A nice castle surrounded by a lush forest. If I remember correctly, there's a brook somewhere to the relative northeast.

The castle itself might seem old fashioned, but the insides are anything but. I know for a fact that Thomas has filled this castle with every room imaginable, then did it three more times.

"Bweehh!" Drones buzz by, doing their routine inspection on the flora in the forest.

We walk up to the wooden doors—braced with titanium-steel alloy—and they swing open. My eyes drift to the old, rough stone bricks a foot in width decorated with slightly overgrown vines.

Thomas's robotic, face-less, humanoid butler bends into a bow. "Mistress Dreamer," he says with a slight pre-echo. "I have not seen you for decades now."

"It's good to see you, Arthur," I greet the robot with a smile. Now, let's see what Thomas is doing.

He's in his office. A warmly decorated room with bookshelf crowded with topics that I'd rather not learn. Like…who needs calculus?

I could, but I don't.

His dark oaken desk, polished and furnished, sits empty except for the tapping fingers of an expectant Thomas. "So, here's the plan."

He pauses for a slight moment. "I know I can't stop you, but it would weigh a lot less on my consciousness if you were to be supervised. So!" He claps, a smile now adorning his face. "Welcome to Earth, Dreamer! Specifically, one where there's a special kid named Harry Potter!"

Oh boy. We're in for a wild ride here.

Technically, these OC's are characters of my original story, and thus contains, uh, heavy spoilers for that story. If you care about that. Only like...twenty people do.
