Chapter 20: Violating The Law,Being Caught,& Punishment!

When he got home, he found two middle-aged men in uniforms in addition to Narcissa and Lucius in the living room. Similarly, all four people looked very serious.

"Son, you're finally back." Narcissa saw Draco was safe and rushed over to hug him and patted his back. Then whispered in Draco's ear: "Go upstairs to sleep, don't stay here."

"Don't protect him." Lucius's tone was colder than usual, and he took out a few letters. "Look at him and see what he did." Lucius threw the letter on the table.

Draco opened the letter, which wrote.

"Dear Mr Malfoy,

We have received a report informing us that you used a Stunning Spell on a muggle outside of Hogwarts whilst knowing it is illegal to use magic outside of school if you are under the age of 17.

You are aware underage wizards are not allowed to use magic outside of school. If you do this, you may be expelled from the school (Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, 1875, third paragraph).

Also, please keep in mind that according to Section 13 of the International Wizard Federation's Secrecy Act, any magical activity that may cause the attention of non-magic circle members e.g. a muggle is a serious violation.

Ministry of Magic Improper Use of Magic Office."

"This isn't so serious," Draco mumbled.

"Not so serious?" Lucius's voice grew louder. "Look closer!" He growled as he lost his usual refined manner. Draco then opened another letter.

It said:

"Dear Mr Malfoy,

We have received another report and learned that at 4:30 pm this afternoon, you used a Muggle-Repelling Charm in an area at a muggle residence in Little Hangleton.

You are aware, underage wizards are not allowed to use magic outside of school. If you do this, you may be expelled from the school (Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, 1875, third paragraph).

Also, please keep in mind that according to Section 13 of the International Wizard Federation's Secrecy Act, any magical activity that may cause the attention of non-magic circle members (muggle) is a serious violation.

Ministry of Magic Improper Use of Magic Office."

The contents of the following letters were all the same, and they were all similar, but the name of the curse was changed.

The last one read:

"Given your previous actions and that you have seriously violated the International Wizard Federation's Secrecy Act, we have decided to impose severe penalties on you. According to what we have learned, your performance at Hogwarts seems to be excellent. Under the guarantee of Professor Dumbledore, there will be no dismissal from you, but your wand will be collected and returned at the time of the election to as a means of disciplinary action."

"Your warning letter was sent to our home. My baby didn't see it at all." Narcissa screamed for Draco.

"Calm down, madam." One of the two taller wizards said slowly.

"We are just acting as we were told to." Another slightly chunky wizard was taking the other wizard's side.

"Hand over the wand." Lucius's voice grew gloomier.

"I think I am willing to work with the Ministry of Magic," Draco nodded. He passed his wand to the tall and thin wizard.

"No!" Narcissa screamed, unable to accept the reality that her son was being punished.

The faces of the two Ministry of Magic's wizards were not revealing an unexpected expression. They had experienced this a lot whenever they had to send a letter to irresponsible wizards.

"He's very calm." The two praised at the same time. "I believe this accident is just a small misunderstanding."

"We will explain the situation to our superiors," said the chunky wizard. The two older wizards were wondering as to how such a well-behaved child could act so recklessly.

"Thank you very much," Lucius nodded to them.

"Well, we have to go back to work, we mustn't be late," said the tall and thin wizard.

"Leave after having something to eat, there are desserts prepared." Narcissa seemed to be making a final effort, trying to please them as much as possible, hoping to ease the punishment.

"Madam, thank you for your kindness, but we are also very busy." The tall and thin wizard rejected the offer.

Then the two of them walked out of the Malfoy manor, they used Disapparation, their bodies gradually became transparent, and finally disappeared into the Void.

"Lucius!" Narcissa yelled at Lucius, trying to vent her dissatisfaction.

"Narcissa, calm down." Unlike the cold and serious tone, Lucius was now relaxed.

"You are telling me to be calm? Our son was almost expelled! The two men also took his wand away, and you're telling me to calm down!" Narcissa was almost hysterical now.

"Don't worry," Lucius whispered. "You have to learn from our son. Look at how calm he is." He glanced at Draco and saw him standing silently at the table, looking relaxed and unaffected.

Lucius changed the subject and decided to talk about what he ate a few days earlier.

"A few days earlier when I was away, I had a meal with a person. He was quite interesting, polite and above all, a worker for the Ministry."

"Who is he and what is his name?" Narcissa asked.

"He never told me his name or disclosed his identity," Lucius replied.

"I am also a person with a background and am talented so the sanctions are low for a reason," Draco admitted.

"Not to mention the little guys in our family are almost all wandless spell users ." Lucius patted Draco's shoulder, revealing a proud look.

"Don't say those things, let's talk about something else." Lucius opened a discussion on a topic that looked less pleasant.

"How did you torture the muggle? By using a Binding Curse? Well, it just said that you used a Stunning Spell." Lucius was more interested in this. "Why did you use a stunning spell? He can't feel the pain and fear if you do that. You should've…" Lucius then began to talk about how he should have tortured the muggle.

Then Lucius was about to tell Draco how to properly torture someone when...

"Well, stop saying such things." Narcissa interrupted Lucius's words, her mood was much better, and her tone was lighter. "Son, you must be tired today, and you have to go back to school tomorrow. Go to sleep, you have to get up early."

"Okay, Mother." Draco was not interested in torture and turned and walked to his room.

"I haven't told him about the Unforgivable Curses yet." Lucius smacked his head in annoyance, watching Draco return to his room, Lucius's mood fell.

"Do you want our son to go to Azkaban?" Narcissa said angrily.

"No, no." Lucius quickly denied. "I won't mention it, or teach it to him at all." Then he snorted and laughed twice.

"Let's introduce it to him but refrain from teaching him," Lucius whispered.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing." Lucius spread his hand to show that he was innocent.

Night fell and peace returned to the Malfoy manor as well.
