Leaving the Manor

"I wouldn't be upset if you wanted to come with." I say while trying to stay confident.

That would save me from having to find her when I get back but I doubt she'd just come with me, it's not that simple. Someone like her isn't just going to leave with someone they've known briefly.

I mean it would be cool if it worked that way but I'm not lucky enough. Damn self pity kicks in rather fast.

"Yes. I'll leave a note for my guard." Riyori replies with a positive voice

For a moment I sat there looking at her as she gave me a big smile before going to write her note. I didn't expect that to go like that but honestly I'm not going to complain about it at all.

That's exactly what I was hoping for and I'm not going to let this chance go to waste or I'd be an idiot. Time to show her how awesome I really am so she can be a part of my harem!

"Okay meet me at the front door in an hour or two." I say before she heads down the hall.

So I went upstairs to get a small bag of things ready and also switched into my new outfit. This thing was definitely worth the money and suits me perfectly.

"Where are you going Kenji?" Izza asks with a bit of sadness in her voice.

"Just a small trip but don't worry I'll be back soon." I respond with a reassuring tone in my voice.

I won't let anybody down and I'll become one of the greatest kings that this world has ever known.

Though ruling a kingdom is probably a good start compared to ruling over the world so maybe it's best to start from there. That seems like the best idea for the time being.

"Okay just don't be gone too long dummy." Izza says while her usual self began to show again.

After that, time just began to fly by and it was finally time to meet Riyori down at the front door.

As I got to the front door I noticed that the door had been opened but nobody here just leaves the door open. I quickly began to scan the surroundings and noticed that some stuff was a bit messed up.

People with bad intentions usually can't enter through the magic barrier so something is up here.

"Riyori!" I begin to call out.

That's when I see a group of knights moving up to the door.

"You are Kenji Itsumora right?" One of the knights asks.

"What does it matter if I am?" I question while giving him a cold stare.

"Kenji Isumora, you are being charged for the abduction of lady Riyori Tenzu." The Knight says while they all hold out their swords.

Hmm so obviously it didn't go down the way she intended for it to go down. How will I handle such an issue?

"I wasn't abducted but you guys made a mess which was uncalled for." Riyori says while coming out from the dining room.

"Lady Riyori we didn't realize the situation." The Knight replies.

"Yeah I can see that but it's good you're here." Riyori says while walking over to the knight.

She handed him a note and walked back over to me.

"What's this?" The Knight asks with a curious voice.

"Just get that to my father." She Responds while standing next to me.

No further words were said and the group of nights left the property but I can't believe they assumed I'd do such a thing. Do I look like that much of an evil bastard?

Man I really will show these people what I'm capable of and they'll come to regret what they've done. Looking down on me, assuming I'd abduct anybody at all, and trashing the front door.

"Hey I'll make sure this gets fixed, don't worry." Riyori says as she takes hold of my hand.

I briefly look down and notice her holding my hand, it's incredibly soft. No not what you think!

Her hand is soft, jeez.

This is nice but her cute face and her holding my hand are not helping at all, just making everything worse. Now I'm talking about what they make me feel I guess.

"Thank you, are you ready?" I ask with a positive tone.

"Of course. Let's go." Riyori answers as we head towards the door.

I didn't want to question what else she'd bring but we both have plenty of money so that shouldn't be a problem. I know we'll have to stop eventually anyway.

As we got to the gate outside the manor I looked back and realized it might be awhile before I come back. This manor has definitely treated me right all my life so I'll make sure I come back for sure.

This place really is beautiful but it's in good hands for the time being.

"I think a good place to start with is the town of Mistel." Riyori suggests.

"What's there?" I question while we walk.

"It's a good place to get anything we could need." Riyori answers with an exited tone in her voice.

I'm glad she's happy to be joining me but I wonder what she's capable of doing.

"I apologize for asking but what are you capable of doing if something happens?" I ask without being rude.

"I'm really good at casting magic." Riyori says confidently.

"Perfect." I reply with a smile.

A mage definitely will come in handy since I don't want to rely on my magic alone to fight people if it occurs. For now I'm going to rely on my fighting skills.

I've learned how to fight all my life so it would be a waste to only use magic. But moving past that it was time to head to the town of Mistel.

I've only ever heard the name of this town before, nothing about it or what it contains so this will definitely be something new for me.
