The next morning, Fryssel put his things together—not that he had too many things. Sharen was tempted to ask him to stay and follow them back to Samak but he decided against it. Fryssel was old enough to make his own decisions.

If he had made the decision to run away from his home and his father, following him to places and partaking of events that had almost cost his life then he was old enough to leave them too. Regardless, Sharen felt the slight urge to pull him back.

For one thing, he felt Fryssel was very problematic. Only the gods knew what was brewing in his mind and Sharen vaguely guessed it could have something to do with some magical experiment. His stubbornness was unparalleled, his desire for awakening magic unrivalled.
