First Quest Success?

"But Zuzu, how did any of that leave you crying?" asks Anne as she once more settles on Zauriel's back.

"Well, after their two hour unmentionables. Charlie decided to reform, barely. Hent~ai convinced him to do so."

Tsu looks behind her, "And how does that mean they get to join us now?"

He looks behind him, to see Charlie waving shyly as he hug a tentacle tighted in his arms.

"Well, they have to find a living. What else is there other than an adventurer?"

Tsu nods, looking back in suspicion, "I see, then how exactly do you plan to get the money for his reward?"

Zauriel stops, "That... that is not something I have thought of."

"Well, you better find one now or you're going back, a bit broke."

He then looks to the other three, "Am I the only one that needs the money."

"I still have a part-time job within the guild, remember?"

"Me and my dearest have accrued a certain amount of wealth. How else am I supposed to buy this mansion?"

"Mmmm, mommy left me tons of money."

"There was a lot to unpack there, but I digress." He taps his chin in thought before smiling.

"So, Charlie. About that favor you owed me. I'm gonna have to ask you on that."

He then nods, "What do I have to do?"

"Hello there! My name is Zauriel Pendragon and I have here this quest posted by the Ministry of Guild and Magic."

Zauriel smiles to the guard as he showed the poster bearing the quest's information. A body bag hanged behind his back.

The guard who wore anti magic armor, bearing a sword of significant power glances back at him, reaching his hand forward for the poster, "What is your business here?"

"Well, I want to gather my reward for completing the quest."

The guard looks back up from his poster. "Well, this one asks for you to subjugate a fearsome warlock hiding behind this address."

"So, I did. I subjugated him into being a non-threat."

The guard then raises an eyebrow, a bit unimpressed, "So, how exactly did you do that?"

Zauriel raises a body bag, "I killed him, of course."

"Really, let me see inside then."

The guard takes it off from his hand, opening it to see a beautiful girl, on whose wide eyes looked back, tongue stuck out and is breathing heavily, failing at faking his death.

The guard then closes it back, "I see, I'm gonna have to ask you to wait."

"Sure, I'll wait." Zauriel nods eagerly.

The guards then leave him alone, opening the large anti magic doors of the ministry, urging him to come inside and take a seat.

The moment they do, they look up in utter wonder. The immensity of the ministry's size, almost left Zauriel in shock and even Charlie can see through the sack at what magnificence it held.

An enormous dome overlooked the entire ministry, the sun shining in utter brilliance as thousands of people walked back and forth, busy with their own jobs.

He notices an empty waiting seat, still amazed at the size the ministry had. A single branch like this held such magnificence.

He wonders what the headquarters would look like.

He sits down before he looks around in uncertainty, whispering under his breath, "Hey, good job faking your death. I think you convinced him."

"Really? It was my first time. I don't think I did that well."

"Nah, I'm pretty sure you did great."

"I rescind that statement."

There were about ten armed guards pointing their weapons at him. Each one at a significant level of power, a situation he cannot escape from with brute force.

"Hello, gentlemen." A man walked forth, his brown bald head glistened through the afternoon sunlight as he walked, his eyes heavy with overtime work as he glared at Zauriel.

He raises his arm, the guards around them lowering their weapons.

He glances at the two. "The both of you, follow me."

"It's just me, sir." Zauriel says.

"Dont waste my time." The man glares harder, an asura appearing behind him, one bearing seven swords, each one per arm and one through his teeth.

The body bag then stood up in fear, shivering as he pulled on Zauriel's trench coat, seemingly fearful of the man before them.

Charlie's head popped out as he spoke, "Yes, sir."

"I guess we have little of a choice either way."

The two then follow closely behind him. Charlie never getting the time to untie himself, deciding to jump all the way into the man's office, the ten guards never once blinking as they follow them.

The man the gestures to the two seats, "Take a seat."

"Yes, sir." "Sure."

The man then looks up from his files. "So, Charlie Sotheryn. A rogue warlock of Grustein Academy. The inheritor of the Sotheryn family name."

Charlie lowers his head, a bit embarrassed.

"There has been a bounty on your head for a thousand gold. One put there by a man I'm sure you are familiar with."

Charlie gasps with shock as he reads the document. The tentacle in his arms comforting him, as she notices his shock and mute horror as he reads through his crimes.

The man then takes another document, "Ivander Revezim. Your old classmate and friend, one that has been detained and remains on trial on disgusting charges, such as necrophilia and murder."

Zauriel glances back at the shaken Charlie, "Then what does that mean for us."

"Despites his disgusting desire for you. You remain a threat to the Ministry, one, we have a desire to eliminate. So, now, I ask you."

An overwhelming amount of power flood his office and an avatar of war appears behind him, leaving Zauriel choking from the pressure and Charlie stiffening from fear and excitement.

"What do you want to do?"

Zauriel walked out of the office with a grin, playing with the sack of gold

"Well, all's well that ends well."

"It did not." The man hits the back of his head as he glares at the teenage boy that was stumbling face first into the ground.

"Just because Charlie has registered his magic and has become a non-threat. It does not mean you did not help in quest fraud and criminal assistance to an illegal element."

He crosses his arm as Charlie walks through the door behind him, "I would have you detained and imprisoned for that alone, but with your obvious association to G.M.B. I would be lenient."

He gives a nasty grin as he takes a huge chunk of the gold in Zauriel's hand, "So, I would instead fix your bail for you."

Zauriel looks on mute horror as he cries inside, his expression heartbroken as four hundred gold leaves his arms. The man counts it in front of him, bearing a mocking grin.

Charlie and Hent~ai consoles the heartbroken Zauriel as the man then walked away from the two of them. "Tell Adam, Cornelius said hi."
