He is indifferent towards everything, treating everybody as leeks and chess pieces. He is a scheming and a sadistic man who takes pleasure in the misfortune, pain and despair of his enemies. Gu Changge practices demonic arts which involves consuming the source of other cultivators to boost his own cultivation. The cruel essence of this art does not bother him as he is an ambitious person, aiming to become a cultivation powerhouse in both strength and status.

However, Gu Changge still deeply cares about those close to him, such as his father and mother. Moreover, he also cares about the Ancient Immortal Gu Family and intends to lead it properly.

Gu Changge is a transmigrator, but due to his Devil Heart, he was overwhelmed by his demonic nature. It was only at 21 years old[4] that he recovered his past life memories and consciousness during a trip to the Azure Lower Realm. Many ancient existences and powerhouses of formidable sects acquiesced that Gu Changge is the brightest talent of the younger generation.

「Plot」

After transmigrating, Gu Changge found himself temporarily residing in Azure Lower Realm in search of a terrifying spear with unspeakable might. He 'woke up' during the protest of an inner disciple of the Taixuan Sacred Land, Ye Chen to the Saintess Su Qingge's bethrothment to him. During this short period of time, Gu Changge used the opportunity to familiarize himself with the Transmigrator System that appeared before his eyes.

Then, he learned about the existences of "Fortuitous Ones" — people who are blessed by the heavens. With the help of this system, Gu Changge was determined to plunder their fortune and use it for himself. He referred to those with great fortune as leeks, and Ye Chen — a fortune's chosen with green fortune — was his first victim. During his stay in Taixuan Sacred Land, Gu Changge found out about Su Qingge's physique and later, the existence of another soul within her.

When Gu Changge visited Gu Qingyi, they spent some time together leisurely. Gu Qingyi, in the spur of the moment, mentioned about the bet between them, at which she referred to it as his ultimate goal.[6] Gu Changge speculated that this was related to the memories of his as the Demon Lord from the Forbidden Epoch, which he had yet to recover at the time.

Gu Changge's past is revealed — he is an incarnation of a True Origin Ancestor[7], whose goal is to devour the other two of its kind. His entire background as a transmigrator[8], alongside the system, is merely a facade to trick the True Origin Ancestors from figuring out his true identity since they can't properly deduce the origins of anomalies. Accordingly, his past life as the Demon Lord was also merely another mirage casually sprung up by Gu Changge's true body.

The reasoning behind his unfathomable actions were driven by his ultimate goal: to completely devour the two Origin True Ancestors apart from himself. Concurrently, Gu Qingyi's identity as the True Spirit of True Mountain and Sea World[9] was revealed. If it wasn't for Gu Changge's timely coincidence in saving her, she would have long perished. Gu Qingyi is not aware of his true identity.
