32: everyone want's Void!

Two months have passed since the unexpected battle. Void has been in a coma during this time, and the entire Middletown clan has been tirelessly bringing in every doctor and mage they could find to heal him. Fortunately, their efforts paid off...

"Ab... where am I?" Void murmurs as he wakes from his long dream, which we call a coma. His voice is barely above a whisper, but the moment he speaks, Aoi, Cassey, Arcane, and Zoe rush to his side. Seeing them, Kaylani, Melesa, Rin, Maria, and Marcus follow to stop the first four.

"Void!!" they all cry out in unison, getting stuck in the doorway.

"Yo! Can you please come one by one? Hehe!" Void says, his voice breaking, possibly due to his injuries. Hearing Void's words, Arcane, Zoe, Aoi, Cassey, Maria, Marcus, and even Kaylani start crying.

"Are you alright, dear?" Maria asks, coming in while pushing another aside. Kaylani enters after her.

"Are you still hurt somewhere? Just say it, and I'll bring the best medications at your command, my son!" Kaylani says.

"What do you mean by 'your son'? He's my child!" Maria yells at Kaylani, grabbing her cheongsam's collar.

"He's my daughter's man! My son-in-law! Do you have any problem with that?" Kaylani retorts, grabbing Maria's collar. Seeing this revelation, Rin steps between and grabs Kaylani's collar.

"He's already my daughter's fiancé! And are you forgetting the mess you made of my palace? Do you intend to pick a war?" Rin says, prompting Melesa to step in and grab Maria's collar.

"Miss Maria, wasn't I the first to ask for your son's hand?" Melesa says, which prompts Kaylani to grab Melesa's collar.

"Are you three nuts? Didn't I tell you he's my daughter's man?" Kaylani snaps. Maria then grabs Marcus's collar, who was just checking Void's condition.

"Marcus! What do I do now?" Maria says, her eyes filling with tears.

"Milady, isn't Miss Kaylani's ex-husband Li Dao from the family of dragons? As for Miss Melesa, they mostly trust in their goddess of nature. So, Miss Melesa, you must meet the goddess to see if she agrees to let Miss Cassey stay with Master. As for Miss Kaylani, dragons mainly believe in soulmates, and it's the only species that allows polygamy for males, so I don't think there will be any problem for Miss Kaylani to stay with Master!" Marcus explains.

"Wait, are you saying all of them are marrying Void?" all four of them say in unison.

"How weird it sounds! My daughter is sharing her husband!" Rin yells at Marcus, grabbing his collar. Maria takes a seat in the corner.

"No way! I must meet Mother Nature!" Melesa says, grabbing her head with both hands.

"I think it's fine if my daughter is happy with that..." Kaylani says, prompting Melesa and Aoi to grab her cheongsam's collar.

"What the hell are you talking about? Don't you know how bad it sounds to outsiders? A woman with three husbands is acceptable, but how can a man with three wives look?" they both yell at Kaylani.

"I don't care about that. Those people never helped my daughter when she needed it. Are their thoughts more important than my daughter's happiness? I don't know about you two, but for me, my daughter's happiness is what matters!" Kaylani says, removing both of their hands.

Meanwhile, Aoi, Arcane, Cassey, and Zoe, who were chatting with Void all this time, suddenly look at Kaylani and the others.

"Wait, why don't we ask Void about this?" Maria suggests, stopping the three of them.

"That's right! Void!" Melesa and everyone present in the room turn their heads towards Void, while Void...

"What the hell am I falling into? First, my fiancée, who has no interest in me but is not ready to break the engagement! Second is Zoe, an unexpected mess who claims me like a toy! Aside from these two, Cassey always maintained a certain distance until now. I guess she's just mistaken the meaning of love and friendship! As for Arcane, well, I guess she's deluded by me claiming her when I said she would be mine, which I just meant to be my maid!" Void bombards his thoughts, mistakenly blurting out,

"I have no interest in these!" Void blurts out, shocking everyone.

"What?" all four mothers ask in chorus.

"What are you saying, Void?" Aoi and the others ask.

"I mean, I don't know anything about these. I was interested in Aoi, but she has no interest in me. Cassey always maintained a certain distance. Arcane was always acting like a protective maid, and Zoe was an enemy I just met! How can I agree to anyone's option?" Void explains, causing everyone to step back.

"What? Aoi, is this true?" Rin yells at Aoi.

"Cassey, didn't I tell you to get close to Void?" Melesa yells at Cassey.

"Is this true, Arcane? Are you interested in Master Void?" Marcus asks Arcane.

"Zoe, how the heck can you hurt your soulmate?" Kaylani yells at Zoe.

"Silence, everyone! I have an idea. Void and everyone are going to enter the academy, right?" Maria says, lighting her cigar, her iconic move, while crossing her arms.

"Let's see whose love is perfect to be with Void. If you, Aoi, Arcane, Cassey, and the extra brat, can make Void reach the top rank by the end of the your academy years, I'll let you all marry Void!"

"What?" they all ask in chorus, narrowing their eyes.

"Milady means, if Master reaches the highest rank for couples, he will be legally accepted to have as many wives as he wants. Given Master's current strength, there's no saying who will try to claim him, so it's important that Aoi, Cassey, Arcane, and Zoe stay close to Master and help him increase his rank! and as you'll pass each rank each one of you will be promoted as master's Fiancées" Marcus explains, opening the old book of the country's law.

"Yes, Mother-in-law!" Aoi, Cassey, Arcane, and Zoe say in unison, making Maria blush.

"How nice it feels to hear the word 'mother-in-law!'" Maria thinks, her hands on her cheeks, lost in her delusion.

"What? More people?" Rin says.

"I see! Zoe, let's prepare for the academy and make sure you take the closest place!" Kaylani says, patting Zoe's shoulder while caressing Void's cheek before leaving.

"Cassey, you've failed once but don't lose again! Mother Nature is behind you! Make sure you get Void's closest place!" Melesa says, caressing Cassey's cheek.

"I didn't know this game ever had this rule. Well, it's not like there was any need. It does calm the fuzz for now, so I can sleep well for a few weeks without any of these four by my side and focus on that crazy head! What was her name? Shuri? Whatever, she wasn't much stronger, but she is sneaky. The way she stabbed me from behind... oh, so much to handle..." Void thinks to himself.
