Is It A Home Or Person?

"Holyf***!!!" Even the word shocked was an understatement to describe his expression. There was a time when that car had been worshipped by him to the point of forcing his investigators by giving them whatever they wished to find out the identity of the chief designer of the car. Hehe, that caused havoc among his investigators who went to extreme lengths only to meet with no end.

He couldn't believe that the man behind the car for which he was ready to spend millions of dollars and whom he had indirectly ordered to kidnap so that he could propel the man on making a customised version for him was Guo Leiwu.

"Not only designed it but also developed its unique structure and introduced brand new features which even five years later are still voguish in the market."

"Overall the whole car was the result of his creative idea which started from merely being a car scribbled on the last page of his school notebook, of which a blueprint was later created after countless modifications and from there was developed into the remarkable car it is known today."

"Then how come such a figure ended up in this situation?" Qin Zihao was astounded at this information which was hard to digest.

That man...shouldn't he be worshipped by the country because of the contribution he had brought to the country's economy because of his hard work?

His achievement was way too good to not let him be the dust of the ground.

"Three years back, he was accused of plagiarism for some other car and at that time every proof was against him." This was something even they had learnt some time back only. The higher authorities in Jiang Corporations were only informed unsatisfaction being the reason behind his departure.

LCJ was the automotive's company under them opened by Guo Leiwu. With his talent and human resources, if he wanted he could have easily opened the company without any need to be under Jiang's right after his internship ended but he chose to be here because of the respect he had for his mentor, Old Master Jiang.

In some other part of the world.

"Alaric, all the remaining shreds of evidence have been wiped out. Not a single trace is left to give away of what went here."

A broad-shouldered man whose face was distinct with western features came to stand beside the man who was overlooking the town which was now turned into the ashes, from the only tall yet desolate building left.

In the high noon of the month of September, the heavy wind blended with the particles of the sand which were blowing his hairs in all the directions was still hot but something about this man only gave out iciness.

Giving out a blasé response to what the western man spoke, he swept his chilly gaze over the deserted town which was once filled with the lively activities.

The town had remained unknown to the outer world till now due to it being at the deeper corner of the hot desert which in all respects was a remote location.

"And as you ordered, the police have been notified about this place through an anonymous source. They would be here soon."

By the end, his voice was mingled with the sound of the rotors of a chopper which was approaching them from the northeast side.

Diverting the eyes from the town, Alaric gazed at the helicopter in the sky which was approaching them and soon was moving in the circles around them leading the whole of the surroundings to be filled with sand.

Had they not been wearing glasses, it would have been difficult for them to even open their eyes. Soon a rope ladder along with the protective rope was thrown out from the cabin of the helicopter.

While attaching the rope with his harness, Alaric looked at the man beside him and spoke, "Since our work here is finished now and the town is already extirpated, might as well pretend as if it never was in existence."

The western man smiled at him as he watched Alaric climb up the ladder after saying out his ordinance. When he had already climbed a couple of steps, the western man also followed his suit after attaching the rope to his harness.

He would always be grateful to this man, who appeared out of nowhere and in a few years did what the ones in the power were not able to do for years. The power that this man was able to behold was a blessing to them.

On reaching near the landing skids, Alaric's hold tightened on the protective rope as a slight smirk embellished his lips.

He left the ladder at the same time as he made a big jump to grab the skid. The whole rope ladder shooked due to the vigorous movement, causing the western man to tightly clutch onto the ladder as he looked up to see Alaric's hanging form grabbing the skid.

His eyes widened at the sight at the same time a thought entered his mind; Nothing of what this man do was usual.

The ladder went straight inside the helicopter but still, this man again had to go out of the normal way to get to the same destination.

He was reminded of what Alcaric had once advised him, "Destinations might be able to define what we have achieved but journeys define how we achieved them. That's what makes us different. Go out of the way during journey even if the destination is same, you would be looked up differently than those who came the regular way."

Alaric got on top of the skid and entered the cabin but not before giving a cue to his companion to come quickly.

As helicopter flew away from there, the western man gazed out of the window one last time before fixing his eyes at Alaric who was taking a big mouthful of water from the bottle.

"So...you would be staying here some more time or would straight away return to China?"

"Going to home."

The western man curled his lips at undefined response with his head down, "Home... is it a place or a person?"

That made the indifferent man pause as his eyes fluttered slightly. The question echoed in his mind, is it a place or a person...

With a deep look in his eyes, he stared out of the window as the images of several years back flashed in his mind.

"LIN YUZHONG!!! Won't you be playing today with us??" a second-year high schooler shouted at the young boy of about 16 years from the playground.

Lin Yuzhong who was passing from the ground to go to the library stopped hearing his best friend's voice and replied, "No! There are certain books I need, so I will be heading to the library."

"ALRIGHTTT!!! But remember to come to the practice match in the evening!!"

Not bothering to say anything else, he waved him ok and headed on his way to the library. The campus of City S's high school was spread over a large area.

Unlike other schools where high school and middle schools were built in different locations, City S's Main School was constituting it's both high school and secondary school on the same campus though they were assigned two different blocks.

These two blocks were separated by a bridge over a very beautiful lake. Their campus was well-known for its beauty and was counted among one of the most beautiful campuses in the world that hosted several classroom buildings, four big playgrounds, cafeterias, art buildings, auditoriums, courtyards, libraries, laboratories, a mini-hospital, dormitories etc.

Since the school was built away from the hustle-bustle of the city in a very isolated place so most of the students studying here used to live in the dormitories that's why all the facilities and almost every thing that could be needed were made available within one's reach.

There were three libraries on their campus, one was the central library which was in the middle of two blocks and was common for all the students of both the schools. The books in this library were not of academic interests but more of personal interests that the teenagers were generally interested in.

The other two libraries were more of academic interests; one was in secondary schooler's block and the other one was in senior's block.

Unlike the central library and junior's library, the senior's library was very far from the main classrooms block and was situated at the opposite end of the senior's block, to get there they had to pass several buildings along with one play ground and a huge sports ground.

After passing the play ground of senior's block, the buildings that one would come across were of first-year high schoolers along with staff's building.

Just in front of those buildings, several cycles were parked which students were free to use to ride around the vast campus.
