It didn't take too long for a maid to notice her cries. However, it did take forever for the maid to come back with milk for Avina.
When she did come back, she threw the bottle into Avina's crib and said, "Here. Drink it yourself."
Avina eyed the bottle that landed right next to her. A centimeter off, and she would've had a lump on her forehead. What was worst was that milk sprayed from the bottle onto her clothing.
'How am I supposed to drink it myself!' Avina cursed. She was only a newborn. It was already a miracle she could open her eyes and cry as loudly as she could. But she definitely didn't have enough muscle strength to lift that heavy bottle.
"What? You're not drinking?" The maid walked closer and peered into the crib. She poked Avina's small hands and said, "But you were crying so much. If you wet your diaper again, I'm not changing it."
"Waa!" Avina cried a complaint.
