Gotten shelter
Erica's POV
"Blanca , you know I hate it when we quarrel" I said and she scoffed.
"Erica , you have so many things that keep you happy. You've got friends. I have none. Today I met a human who's very kind to me. We made this snacks together " She said and gave me some snacks wrapped in a paper.
"This human is a male ?"I asked.
"Yes , he is. He's very handsome and when his masculine hands held me I felt a tingle in my belly . A feeling I've not felt before " She said and I held her and stared directly into her eyes.
"You're falling in love , Sister "I said shockingly.
"Is it wrong to love a human ?"She asked.
"Yes . It is a taboo. They see us as mobsters. They'll kill you the moment they find out "I said and hugged her tightly.
"I don't want to loose you, Blanca . You're the only I have remaining in this world "I said and she disregarded from the hug and held my hands.
"You're not gonna loose me. Can you please let me explore this new feeling growing inside of me ?"She asked with tears in her eyes.
I recalled our parents horrified faces before they died and shook my head.
"I can't you go there and end up being killed "I said and cast a spell on the entrances of the house.
"If you try leaving , the barriers will burn your skin "I said and saw that heart break in her eyes.
"I hate you "She said and left for her room . Am I loosing my only sister ? Why can't she understand am doing this for her sake.
I went to her room and heard her sobbing.
"Can you open the door, Blanca ?"I asked.
"Just leave me alone " She screamed and hit an object on the door. Tears rolled down my cheeks and I left for my laboratory. My father's last project was creating a potion that can disguise a dark angel to look like a white angel but he died without making any progress. I decided to start there and complete it. I'll need a feather of a white angel . How the fuck am I supposed to get that. I read spell books and learned new spells before leaving the laboratory for home. I got home and saw Blanca's skin massively burnt and she was still trying to force herself through the barrier.
"Stop this nonsense. You can die from this "I said but she ignored me so I had to push her myself.
"You knew this can put my life in danger and still put it. So why are you stopping me now ? If you can't let me go there then please let me die, Sister. Am begging you "She pleaded and lost consciousness . I laid her down and after tucking in her wings , I administered treatment on her to cure her burnt skin . I rubbed a potion on her and muttered a spell and her skin was back to normal.
I sat beside her till she woke up .
"Am sorry , Blanca. I shouldn't have put a barrier to keep you a prisoner here "I said with tears and hugged her.
"Forgive your elder sister "I said and she hugged me back .
"I forgive you. I just want to explore the human world for some time and I'll be back here "She said and I nodded.
"Fine. I'll let you go there but you'll promise to stay safe for my sake and don't reveal your identity to them" I said and she nodded.
"I promise to do as you say "She said and I smiled.
"Can I go now ?"She asked and I nodded. I used my finger tips to make the barrier disappear and she happily flew away. I just hope nothing happens to her.
Blanca's POV
I knew Erica won't continue keeping me hostage if she sees me in a critical condition . Am falling in love ! The feeling is just new and awesome. I created a portal and went to the human realm . I went to the market where I met that handsome fella but I couldn't see him . This place is very big any way. I can't use my powers otherwise I would have flown to the sky and search for him from up there . I felt a tap on my back and I turned to see him .
"Hey, how are you doing ?"He asked with his cute smile .
"Am fine. Do you sell stuffs here ?"I asked.
"Not at all . I pick pocket "He whispered to my ear and I gasped .
"It's a secret "He said and I shook my head .
"That's wrong. You're too handsome to be doing a dirty work like that " I said and he chuckled.
"It's the first time a girl is complementing my handsome feature " He said and I frowned .
"That means the girls here are blind not to have seen your handsome face "I said and he chuckled.
"You flatter me" He said.
"That bun you made was very tasty. How about you make it and sell. You'll get good money from it "I said and he smiled .
"I've never thought of that. Let's go make it" He said and I followed him to his house. He brought the ingredients and we started making the snacks. To my surprise he knew many snacks recipes so we made variety of it. After some time it was done and we took it to the market. He told me how to sell it and we divided the snack among ourselves. I went to a different section of the market and sold mine then came to him to see that everything he made was sold already.
"Wow, we've made good money from the snacks and a lot of humans said I should sell more of these tomorrow" I said.
"Humans?"He asked.
"Yeah. We. Aren't we humans?"I asked and he nodded.
"We are just that it sounded like you weren't one the moment you said it. Let's go now" I said and we went back.
"So where do you live?"He asked.
"No where. I don't have a place I live" I said.
"Sorry about that. What of your family?"
"They're no more. Lost them in a tragic accident. Can we please not talk about it?It's too painful to recall"I said and wiped the tear rolling down my cheek.
"Am sorry about that. How about you stay with me?"He asked. Finally, that's what I've been wanting to hear. I knew it that this man is kind. Who gives a stranger a cover in his house without knowing anything about her.
"Yes, thanks a lot "I said.
