Chapter 2 Fish pie
Erika's POV
I was pacing round the house when Blanca flew into the house with a snack in her hand.
"Blanca , I ordered you not to leave " I screamed at her .
"Am sorry for violating your order , sis but I wanted to see it for myself too and it was fun . I brought this for you " Blanca said , extending the have with the buns to me
"How'd you get this ?"I asked
"I bought that . I used my magic to conjure a coin which I used in purchasing that " She said.
"Thats very risky . Did you even think of what would have happened to you if they saw you using magic "I said worriedly.
"You have nothing to worry , everything is alright " Blanca said and dropped the buns on the table for me .
"This tastes good . You should give it a try " She said and flew away.
I walked to the table and after sniffing the buns , I took a bite of it and the taste was divine . I ate all of it and wished there was more .
I went to my small lab to read some books .
Dad was a scholar , he'll often use the lab to do some experiments and read some books too . I always sat there and watched him do it, so with time I developed interest for it .
Without anyone's knowledge, dad secretly experimented on potions which I found out and began learning from him when I promised to keep it a secret .
"Erica , you won't tell anybody of this . We're not supposed to be handling potions , do you know why ?"He asked and I shook my head .
"Because it is not the duty of a dark angel, it is believed that when we start handling potions , the dark side of us will arise and we will start using it for the wrong purposes" Dad said
"But papa doesn't use it for dark purposes "I said
"Yes , I don't but no one will believe that . I will teach you how to make a potion to cure a person from a deadly poison . You ready ?"He asked and I nodded my head .
"Thats my girl "He said and carried me in his arms while I giggled .
"I love you papa "I said and hugged his neck .
"I love you too my baby "He replied and patted my back .
More memories of I and my father came rushing into my head while I was staring at the lab .
I stopped visiting it after dad died .
I cast a spell on it after I left making it invisible .
Blanca flew into the house with three books in her hands .
"What are you reading this time ?"I asked
"Books about the human realm. I want to understand them so it'll be easier to communicate with them "She said and I sharply turned my head to the books .
"I let you go to the human realm because of your plea now you want to go again?"I asked furiously
"You didn't let me go . I went myself and you enjoyed the stuff I brought back "She said with a smirk .
"I could have gone bad dragged you back here and the stuff you brought what makes you think I enjoyed that rotten flavour stuff ?"I asked.
"Now my big sis wants to lie?"She asked with a smirk .
"Maybe I did like it a little bit that's it . You're not going anywhere "I said and flew away with the books .
"Erica !" She called but I turned deaf ears to her .
I flew to my hideout and dropped the books .
"What's with you and the human realm books ?" Rado asked .
"Blanca brought those home to read . She wants to go there again "I said
"What?! She never learns " Itzy said .
"Despite reading all those books everyday . More reason I hate reading " Squeaky said while struggling to break a nut .
"Squeaky, what's with you and that nut ?"I asked
"He's been trying to break that for along time and doesn't want to let it go " Anok said .
"If it's too hard to crack then let it go and crack another" I said and he finally left the nut .
"Maybe , you should let Blanca go there and see things for herself . As long as no one knows her identity , she's safe " Rado said and the rest nodded .
"Thanks y'all" I said and flew away .
"Those wings are one of a kind " Rado said .
I flew to my house and saw Blanca crying .
"Blanca " I called her but she ignored me .
"Am sorry for making you cry . You can go there but no one should know your identity "I said and she raised her head to look at me .
"You're gonna allow me go there ?"She asked.
"Yeah " I replied and she hugged me
"Thanks a lot , Erica . You're the best "She said and I hugged her back .
The next morning , she made a portal and crossed to the human world .
I just hoped she'll be safe

Blanca's POV
I disguised myself and walked into the human realm.
I saw a man frying some things and I wanted to have a taste of one but the place was crowdy and I might get caught when using my powers , so I took one of the hot stuff and was about to put it in my mouth when the man caught me .
"You thief , pay for this now " He said
"I have no coin with me "I said and he raised his hand to hit me when a guy held his hand .
"There you go " He said and he gave some coins to the man .
"Thank you stars" The man said to me and the guy dragged me away from there .
"Thanks for saving me back there "I said while chewing on the fried thing .
"This tastes good , what is it called ?"I asked.
You're welcome and its called fish pie " The man replied .
"Wow , it tastes good! "I exclaimed
"If you like it that much then we can do it together and you can go home with it " The man said .
"Really ?"I asked enthusiastically
"Yeah "He replied and I leaped in joy .
"Am Samson and you ?"He asked.
"Am Ariel "I replied and we shook our hands .
"Your hands are a little bit cold "He said and I withdrew my hands immediately from him .
"Lets go " He said and I followed after him. We got to his house and he brought out the ingredients.
"That's a whole lot of ingredients"I said and he smiled .
"Let's get to work " He said and I followed every instruction given to me .
Few minutes later , we were done and he began to fry the snacks .
"Can I do that ?"I asked and he let me fry it .
"This feels good " I said and he chuckled .
"I don't think you're from this place " He said and I stopped frying .
"What do you mean ?"I asked.
"I mean , I've not seen you before and I've been living here for a long time , so where are you from?"He asked.
"Uhmm.." I stammered .
"The pies are done , get it out before it burns " He said and that's when I remembered, I was frying !
