Seafood Restaurant

After signing the document, each of them went into a separate room within the apartment and unpacked their luggage.

Si Chen carelessly threw his clothes into his closet, then left the room, only to see the landlady already sitting on the sofa, making herself comfortable, while watching the television.

"Landlady, we have been interacting for so long, yet I still do not know your name?" Si Chen started to say as he walked towards the sofa.

"Meng Yao." She spurted out with her eyes still glued onto the television.

"So it was Meng Yao, who had wanted to cheat us of our money. How smart!" Si Chen praised as he took a seat.

"In the end, didn't I still get cheated by you all?" Meng Yao studied Si Chen for a while, before she replied in dissatisfaction.

Si Chen was far too different from the youths she had met. 16 year old youths were all meant to be hot-blooded and arrogant, yet he was astute and unique.

Other than acting up because of his little sister, he was too calm, too calm to be a 16 year old.

Si Chen looked towards Meng Yao.

The current she was miles different from the professionalism she had acted before. She merely just looked like a university student lazing around and wasting her life.

This change was truly amazing. Si Chen exclaimed within his heart, before he took out his phone and started to research on the two businesses he had chosen for his investment target.

He had never stopped putting in hard work and effort, not willing to waste a moment of time just because he currently possessed quite a bit of cash.

Yang Yun strode out of his room soon after.

As Yang Yun walked past Si Chen, the latter opened his mouth to speak, "There are three women and two men within this house. I don't care what you do to the other two women, but if you dare to do anything funny to the last, I will definitely not go easy on you."

As Si Chen warned, he consciously released a hint of pressure onto Yang Yun, exuding a dignified presence.

"Same to you." Yang Yun replied without showing any weakness, yet he clutched his right hand as he said this.

Xiao Meng came out of her room a while later, as she walked towards Si Chen and asked, "Big Brother, are we going to eat anything special today?"

Normally, she wouldn't be asking such a question, but because today was the first day they moved in to a new apartment, she felt that she needed to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Si Chen lifted his eyes off his phone, and turned towards Xiao Meng as he lightly smiled, "Sure, we can go to the Seafood Restaurant nearby."

The Seafood Restaurant, one of his Investment Targets, suffered a food poisoning incident and reputation got defamed, was located close to the Tong Lin Estate, and you could walk there within 5 minutes from their Tong Lin Estate.

"Seafood Restaurant? Okay!" A voice travelled from one of the rooms as Yang Ran walked out.

"Sister Yang Ran, do you want to come too?" Xiao Meng asked as she heard her voice, her eyes shining with bright stars.

"Of course, do you mind?" Yang Ran questioned.

"Of course not!" Xiao Meng promptly replied.

Si Chen rolled his eyes. From the looks of it, he was going to have to carry some additional baggage along.

He didn't know why Xiao Meng liked her so much. There so many other pretty woman in the world, why do you have to like someone like her?

"Pay for the meal yourself." Si Chen grunted out, before he returned to his room to change into a casual attire, and prepared to leave to the restaurant.

And when he left the room, he saw four people already standing there, dressed as though they were about to go out.

"Are you all coming along too?" Si Chen indifferently asked, although he already knew the answer.

"Big Brother, they all said they wanted to come too." Xiao Meng replied, while the rest stayed silent.

Sweeping a glance at them, Si Chen was rendered speechless. They then left the house together and moved towards the direction of the Seafood Restaurant.

As they reached the door step of the Seafood Restaurant, Si Chen studied it.

The 'Seafood Restaurant" name plate was hung up on the top of the shop in a very dignified manner, its words radiant and bright, easily catching the interest of passers-by.

When they entered the restaurant, they were greeted with an interior enveloped by exquisite designs. A faint slow-beat music was playing at the background, and a few fish tanks that contained expensive and glorious fishes were lined at the sides.

Overall, it was luxurious and grand, although it lost a few traces of its luster and glory ever since the reputation damaging incident.

A waiter instantly took noticed of them, and ushered them towards one of the seats.

After Si Chen took a seat, he slowly sipped the cup of water provided by the restaurant, as he noticed how the customers around weren't that plenty, and only ate a few dishes before they left.

The distrust after the incident was still evidently showing, and without proper help, their restaurant will surely topple.

Si Chen randomly ordered a few dishes, and then continued sipping his glass of water silently.

The atmosphere at the table was rather unsettling, with only Xiao Meng and Yang Yun occasionally talking, while him, Yang Yun and Meng Yao were simply staring into blank space, each with their own thoughts.

The dishes came soon after, and they indulged themselves within it.

The food here could not be considered as top-grade, and could even faintly be said to be really overpriced, and no worth its current price at all.

The waiters here, although they looked presentable, all had a gleam of dullness within their eyes, as if they possessed no hope towards the future and the store.

The 5 of them slowly began to open up to each other after the food was served, as they chatted about themselves.

Si Chen was surprised to know that Yang Yun and Yang Ran really were running away from their homes, and had secretly hide themselves to rent out an apartment together.

They were brother and sister, with Yang Yun, the brother being one year older than Yang Ran.

Meng Yao, on the other hand, introduce herself to be from the Greenfield University, studying business. Hearing this cause Si Chen's heart to slightly reel in shock, because Greenfield University was considered to be one of the top Universities within the country. One thing different about this University, was that mostly only famous and powerful people were able to enter, unlike the other Universities which placed priority on studies and grades.

For Meng Yao to be able to learn in such a University, only represented that her grades were so abnormally good that they disregarded her lesser background.

He glanced towards Meng Yao with interest for a while with a thoughtful expression on his face.

And after Yang Yun and Yang Ran knew some vague details of Si Chen and Xiao Meng's background, their ill-intent towards Si Chen faded quite a bit. After all, he had singlehandedly taken care of Xiao Meng, and had even earned enough money by himself, although they didn't exactly know how much, but this was still an amazing feat that deserved to be respected.
