Within the WaterLake company's office.
In the largest and most elaborate room within the office.
A regal man sat on his chair while playing around with his pen. His eyebrows were sharp, his eyes deep, with a high-bridge nose on his face.
He was the boss of the WaterLake Company, and the father of Chen Huang, the youth who had went along with the negotiation for the branch shop at Riverside Avenue.
His face always carried with it an amiable smile, but his eyes hid a trace of craftiness.
The phone placed at the side of his desk abruptly rang, and he slowly picked it up, "What is it?"
"CEO Chen, Li Hao Tian, the CEO of the Northwest Drinks, is requesting a meeting with you." The assistant clearly spoke up.
Chen Wang lifted up his eyebrows in slight curiosity, and plainly instructed, "Bring him up then."
Placing the phone back down, his eyes shone with a gleam.
"Li Hao Tian and the Northwest Drinks…what are you here for?" Chen Wang uttered to himself in a contemplating expression, "For the Hui Yuan Drink Store?"
His lips curved up into an amused smile as he thought of this, but hearing that a knock on his door, that amusement swiftly vanished, replaced by a warm and amiable smile.
Li Hao Tian opened the door and slowly walked in, while Chen Wang stood up from his seat and greeted, "Welcome, CEO Li. It has been a long time since I last since you, and you look as great as you did before."
"Same to you, CEO Chen. Your WaterLake business has been doing so well, and it never ceases to awe me." LI Hao Tian humbly responded, and took a seat down after Chen Wang had gestured for him to do so.
After they chatting a while about small matters, Li Hao Tian shifted in his chair, and placed his hands onto the desk.
This was a sign that he was going to talk about the main reason why he came here for, and Chen Wang faintly lifted his eyebrows in anticipation.
"CEO Chen, you know that for people like us within the drinks business, we may often face new competitors that rise out from nowhere, and snatch away all the valuable customers from us." Li Hao Tian put up a difficult expression and looked up at Chen Wang for some acknowledgement, which he had gotten in the form of a light nod of the head.
"CEO Chen, I believe that you know of the Hui Yuan Drink Store, the drink business that had released many different new drinks and taken the market by storm." Li Hao Tian started to say.
"Hui Yuan Drink Store? Isn't that the drink store that you had cooperated with?" Chen Wang frowned his eyebrows in an mock expression of doubt, as if he had never heard of the Hui Yuan Drink Store before, until he found out about the partnership between the Northwest Drinks and the Hui Yuan Drink Store.
After hearing what Chen Wang had asked, Li Hao Tian heaved a silent sigh of relief, because this meant that the WaterLake business and the Hui Yuan Drink Store had not close ties with each other, or else this situation will be rather hard to handle.
"So CEO Chen had been informed about our partnership. In actuality, our Northwest Drinks had extended a hand of aid to them after seeing how badly their finance were doing, which is why we even agreed to have a partnership in the first place."
"But who knew that the Hui Yuan Drink Store will be so shameless as to give us a few incomplete recipes along with opening their mouths like a greedy lion and asking for more money."
"CEO Chen, sometimes, I really wish to remove such dishonourable businesses from the drink business world, but because I am too powerless, I am unable to do so. I really admire CEO Chen to be able to build up such a huge business, because if I had it too, I will completely destroy the Hui Yuan Drink Store!" Li Hao Tian made an emotional speech that was brimming with gusto, and justice, as though he wanted to better the world.
The excuse he was giving already sounded stupid, but it did not matter, for what he need was simply to create a lie so that the WaterLake business has a valid reason to go against the Hui Yuan Drink Store, making it such that they looked like they were cleaning away a corrupt business, but rather they were simply protecting their own interests.
Chen Wang lips rose up into an indiscernible smile, and he began to heartily chortled, "I understand what you mean CEO Li. I wholeheartedly agree with your words too. For the good of society!"
Li Hao Tian also revealed a delighted smile after thinking that his plan had worked, while he was inwardly cursing out Chen Wang for being such a shameless person, to be able to lie without even batting a single eye.
However, Li Hao Tian kept his thoughts to himself, because the Northwest Drinks was currently not as great as the WaterLake business, and he could not afford to provoke them yet.
When the WaterLake and the Hui Yuan Drink Store began to engage in a fight with each other, he would swoop in at the last moment and dealt the final blows to each of them, effectively dominating the market!
By then, he would not have to care about a mere WaterLake or Hui Yuan Drink Store anymore.
They talked for a few more minutes, and Li Hao Tian exited the office with the excuse of having important matters to settle.
Meanwhile, Chen Wang looked at the door where Li Hao Tian had just left with a contemptuous expression, "Do you serious think that I am so stupid to fall for you plan? Making two of your enemies fight together, then letting the third-party become the sole winner is something that I would never do, or would never allow to happen to my business."
Then, his lips curved up into a playful smile, "Since you want to play me like a fool, then I should do the same to you too. What would happen, if the WaterLake and the Hui Yuan Drink Store were to cooperate together and become business partners?"
And right after he said this, his eyes darkened into a sophisticated look while he muttered under his breath, "I never expected for the Hui Yuan Drink Store to do so well, so quickly. That youth which Chen Huang had met must really be extraordinary. It seems like I should go and meet him soon…"

On the other hand, Si Chen laid on his bed with his phone by his bedside. Staring at the white ceiling, countless amounts of information flashed past his brain at unbelievable speed while he contemplated on various issues of the investments he had made.
Just then, a notification ringing in his head disturbed his thoughts.
