A Valuable Skill

Jeffrey's combat power and confidence were radiating from him. The Earth trembled and the sky lost its color. He felt omnipotent, like he was the only one at the center of the universe. Andrew had responded with Swapping the Stars and then the Origin Energy Conversion. His face was contorted from exhaustion as he tried to absorb and redirect Jeffrey's strike, but it had not been enough. Jeffrey's cultivation had already skyrocketed to the late stages of the rank of True Mystic. Andrew flew through the air and smashed into the cave wall, covering him with debris.

"I've lost," he said, taking out his pass and surrendering it to Jeffrey.

A defeat didn't necessarily mean that the victor automatically received the points from the loser; they had to physically take the True Dragon pass. With Jeffrey's higher level of cultivation and bloodline power, victory was just a matter of time.
