Bobby remained unflinching in the face of Orion's attack. He opened the Flying Gar Shield's defense system, which immediately protected him. He then thrust the beam of lightning as thick as his arm directly at the pirate.

Although the lightning beam wasn't as sharp as the lightning blade, it was better for direct attacks. Since Orion had fought with Bobby before, he already knew many of his moves and could react quickly. The hypnotic power of the Flying Gar Shield also had less effect on him than during their last fight, and he had developed a special soul-level item capable of increasing his resistance to mental energy attacks.
