Chapter 3 New world and 5 years

As I opened my eyes, I looked around to get an idea of where I was and what was going on. It seemed like I was in a wooden cot. As I raised my hand I saw tiny chubby fingers. My eyes drifted to a loud thud I heard to my left and I saw a scary man carrying a limp woman and heading towards another room. He was wearing a white shirt with some red accents but it could not hide his muscular body that looked like he could crush a bear with his bare hands. His black hair was spikey and jet black scars all over his body. As if he could sense my gaze he turned his head toward me and his eyes were red! I shuddered and closed my eyes. Maybe he would go away and not hurt me?

Slowly 5 years passed as I started to learn to walk and talk. That scary man I saw is actually my father Baaos. Apparently his eyes are blue like mine but change to red if he gets emotional. I never got to see my mother clearly that night. She sadly died giving birth to me.

I was told since my father is strong and I inherited his blood, it was too much for her body to handle she knew that she would die if she got pregnant but she wanted to have a child with him so that she could leave a mark with him in this world.

My hair was a light red kind of pink and it has slowly been getting darker as I get older and older. My dad loves to put my hair up into a ponytail my eyes also can start changing to red if my emotions start to fluctuate.

"Daddy, I can't do it! I don't wanna try it anymore I wanna go out and play with the animals!" I pouted as I tried to circulate and use mana repeatedly but failed. Where is this genius lies I have been working on trying to cast magic and awaken my core. He let out a sigh and a soft smile" You have until your tenth birthday to awaken your core. No sense in trying to force it out. Sometimes it takes intense training or a deep belief to awaken. Go out and play I will make you some food princess." He kissed my cheek and pushed me towards the door.

I ran out of the house towards our neighbor's house it was about half a mile down the road but I made friends with a cute girl that was a few months older than me her name was Suzy." Suzy! Come out and play with this royal princess!" I put on my haughty face what reason do I have not to be other than not being able to use magic yet I am still perfect stronger than most people my age, and a genius who can learn easily. It's only right I raise some dogs to make life more enjoyable.

"I'm coming Ama" I saw Suzy running out. She was wearing a white dress her hair going down to her shoulders. Her green eyes were very pretty. It is nice having pretty lackeys to look at. I took her hand and dragged her towards the town well what is just a few buildings and stalls in the street for people to sell goods.

There was about 6 buildings since this was more of a farming village, there was little in town for housing, just some stuff for travelers and adventure parties. There was an inn that was two stories for people to stay, a small restaurant to get some higher-end meals, a town hall where the lord of the town stays and conducts business, a high-end store that has imported goods from other towns, and the guild it didn't have that many people but it was the biggest building here. But the second biggest building well it was more like a compound to be fair was the guard barracks training ground.

I held Suzy's hand as we walked the stalls like we usually did, trying to find something to snack on. My weekly allowance was almost gone but if push came to shove I could just take what I wanted. Daddy will pay for it if I get caught and if I don't I can save up and buy the pretty hairpin I saw.

(A/N yes she is kind of a brat and has an everyone must bow down to me attitude right now it will change once we get towards the training arc this is the first time she has experienced being spoiled and loved like a normal child and she lets that get to her head and her dad is overly doting if it does not pose a threat to her safety why not let her do as she wants he has the strength to let her)

"A-ama can we please not get into trouble this time… My mom will spank me again and I could not sit right for days." I rolled my eyes at her "Well you don't have any money to buy anything so we just need to come up with a plan" I secretly opened my status to check the new skill and title I got last time we came out.

I giggled thinking of how that stealth skill would come in handy to get that new candy I wanted. I ignored the quest like always no need to get any stronger; I am already almost awakened; I just needed to awaken my core, and then no one will be able to touch me.

"Suzy, go and talk to the stall owner. I will sneak up to him and get us some candy, and you technically did not do anything wrong so you won't get into trouble. It is a win-win." I pushed the nervous Suzy toward the stall owner and started to get into position to take some candy. Suzy looked around nervously and approached the man.

"H-h-hello sir umm do you have any new flavors of candy?" The older gentleman started talking about all of his wares his new candies and some of the favorites for the locals. As all of his attention was on my friend I started sneaking up to the stall and with each step where he did not notice me I was getting 1xp towards my skill level. Closer and closer I was almost there just barely out of view. Wait something is not right. I looked around and that is when I noticed it.

Sh*t I'm not getting xp for sneaking. I have been caught. "Suzy, run he is on to us" I shouted at her and bolted forward to get my prize managing to grab a few pieces of candy before taking off towards my house not even bothering to check to see if Suzy was following me or even caught.

In about 10 minutes I made it all the way home and let out a sigh of relief and then I heard my father's loud voice from the kitchen. "Princess, are you done playing? Dinner is almost ready go clean up and come to the table" As I was panting from running all the way home I took a moment to catch my breath before finally replying "Okay I will it was boring today nothing too fun to do." I quickly went upstairs and opened my dresser drawer before placing the candy inside. I had about 20 pieces from different stalls I "bought" from.

After I finished washing up I went downstairs and joined my father at the dinner table and looked at the delicious food in front of me. Today my dad made a stew with rabbit meat and a salad with vegetables from our garden. "It looks amazing like always Daddy. Thank you for the meal" I smiled sweetly trying to avoid looking him in his eyes from the guilt of stealing from the stall. I just don't wanna make him upset again.

"So princess do you want to start training on how to use some weapons and help me hunt tomorrow?" He looked over at me expectantly. I shook my head. "Daddy I am a princess. I don't wanna do those smelly tiring things; I just wanna have fun" Suddenly I heard a loud knock on the door and my face turned pale.

"Who could possibly be here at this time?" My father got up and started making his way to the door. "Um, I'm not feeling good I'm going to go lay down night Daddy!" I took off running to my room to hide and get ready for bed.
