Bleux immidiatly made a 180 degree turn to Jaren, forgetting the danger from behind.
'Where were you?' He looked for the Jaka, when he saw no one he demanded to know with a pissed of voice 'and were is Jaka!?' the reaction shocked Jaren.
'I was a little busy, but I'm here now.'
Bleux kept silent after that, but his body language showed a thousand words; he clenched his fist hard enough for his nails to dig in his skin, his only
expression was a clean mix between anger and confusion.
'There is a reason that beast didn't attack you even though you turned your back against it,' Jaren said, he played it cool but in the inside he felt nervous.
'I think I messed up' he thought
'Because it knows it's outnumbered.' A thousands of red glowing eyes appeared behind him all looking at the beast as if it was a piece of candy.
'You stay back Bleux, we got this' Jaren finished. Bleux his expression didn't change a bit, which made Jaren more uncomfortable.
Like a wave all of the wild goblins charged at the beast, crashed into it and swallowed it whole.
Of course it struggled, flicking away the occasional goblin. But for every piranha that was discharged, two more appeared. Their teeth watered as they bit down into the flesh of the beast, now clinging to it like pins.
'You see that Bleux,' Jaren said while watching the onslaught 'We've won! We're not tired like you guys, we still have all our energy, and against that beast who has been worn down, we are the obvious winners. Doesn't it feel awesome Bleux?'
He looked back at Bleux expecting a glowing face of happiness. But he saw something far from it; Bleux wasn't even looking at Jaren anymore, he looked at the ground, with an expression of sadness. It was only because of the moonlight, that Jaren could see the tears leaking of of Bleux his face.
He quickly turned to the beast, whom was fighting a hopeless battle, and picked up his spear. He ran to it with the intention to kill it. The beast tried to keep him back, throwing violent swings in Jaren his direction.
But thanks to the fact that he was cloaked up untill his eyes with goblins, his violent swings were nothing more than shots in the dark.
Jaren slid to the underbelly of the beast, and began tearing it open; jabbing multiple times into it's stomach making its organs fall on Jaren. Covered in blood and guts he was not done.
He threw his spear to the side and dug into the beast, using his claws. Pulling out vital organs, ending with the heart. It was still beating, and connected to strings, still it was Jaren's heart now. He took a watery bite out of it
The beast fell to its side. Nothing but bones would be left the next day, for as soon as it died, the piranhas began eating it whole.
Jaren stood up, seeming like the next incarnation of bloody Mary. He was looking at Bleux for some kind of approval, for a summer shine smile. It was not there. 'We can go north now bleux.' he said softly
It took a while for a response to come, eventually it did.
'You said you were busy?' Bleux asked in a calm voice. 'Yes I was.' Jaren responded quickly, a little worried, a little defensive.
'With what?'
'That doesn't matter right now Bleux. We finally killed it.'
'No actually I would like to know what you were so busy with. It was obviously important enough for you to show up last minute.'
'I'm here no-.'
'Jaren! Look around!' Bleux interrupted him sounding more pissed then before. 'Five of us have already died, more are injured. I'm not saying none of that could've happened if you and Jaka were here, but I'm sure that if you were here, we could have prevented... something.'
That's when Jaren saw all the goblins that were laying scattered on the battlefield like heavy bags, Blood spatted all over the place.
'You left us when we needed you the most, for what?'
It was silent again. Then the atmosphere changed again.
'Where even is Jaka?' Bleux asked. Jaren didn't want to consider answering that question, so he stayed quit. He could feel the eyes from Bleux make dots on his forehead, which he eagerly avoided.
Bleux walked up to him so that he was but an arms length of distance. Now that he was so close Jaren could see his friends face, no longer did it bare a smile, more like a demon ready to scream out to the sky, Jaren looked too the his feet.
'The piranhas are here, so were is he.'
'I killed him' Jaren said softly.
'WHAT!'
'He was planning to kill us.'
*BAM* a clean hit to Jaren his face, knocked him back on his butt.
'Planning to kill us!? he was helping us. I was with him the whole time, if there was intention to kill, I would've sensed it. Hell I would've killed him myself." "That is not what Boksen said, he said he was making plans to betray us." "You lie!" you could hear Boksen's weak voice in the background. Then he appeared out of no where, holding his stomach limping to Bleux. "Why would I even suggest something in like that!?" "Don't play games with me Boksen." Bleux took a deep breath, then looked at Jaren with a face of conclusion "I don't even care if Boksen's said anything like that. The fact that you didn't even discuss anything with me... I can't talk with you right now." Jaren looked up to a face that crumbled like paper.
'I told you that he was too surprising.' Boksen said. 'He is too brash and single minded to consider your thoughts.' 'Where is his body?' Bleux asked that was probably his last question that night. 'At the waterfall 600 meters southwest from here.'
