Samuel Johnson returned to the hotel in a relaxed and happy mood. Upon opening the door, he saw Joy Parker and Tim Morrison sitting on the couch.
Tim's face looked terrible, and Joy was hanging her head low, sobbing ceaselessly as if she had suffered a great injustice.
When Tim saw Samuel, he seemed as if he saw his savior, rushing over to hug Samuel's thighs, pleading with a mournful face, "Samuel, you're finally back! Please, persuade her, she's been crying for an hour now!"
Samuel was in a good mood. He crossed his arms over his chest and glanced at Joy before asking Tim, "What happened to her?"
"She got choked by Jordan Guthrie, now she can't stop crying."
Samuel raised his eyebrows and took a look at the dark bruises around Joy's neck, saying somewhat amusedly, "It seems like you two get along quite well. It's not as serious as you described."
He had thought that Joy meeting Jordan would surely be the end of her.
