Monster

(Warning: gruesome scenes ahead.)

"M-Me, I'll tell you, I'll tell you everything about this world."

Shouted the guy who told Turman to stand down.

He had brown spikey hair gelled back, a green tank top, and green eyes.

"What's your name?"

"K-Kagul."

"Kagul, come to me if you value your life."

He rose from his seat as he made his way to Gilgamesh hesitantly.

When he arrived, those golden portals that brought Turman to his demise appeared all around the room, surrounding everyone as swords and spears started popping out of each one.

A few seconds later, every weapon was fired at speeds faster than your average human eye can comprehend, and the brown wooden walls were soon tainted blood-red with every human body part splattered everywhere.

"Now, tell me everything you know, and don't leave a single thing out."

30 MINUTES LATER

"That's all I know. I swear."

"Well then, Kagul, as per our agreement, you're allowed to leave."

Kagul doubted Gilgamesh's word and thought if he were to leave, he would be killed instantly, but he left eventually, and as soon as he walked out the door, he ran as if the devil himself were chasing him.

"Dungeons that contain powerful monsters."

"Haha, if these weaklings were this weak, it means those monsters aren't any stronger."

Gilgamesh soon walked out of the bar with both hands in his pockets, showing an expression filled with boredom.

When he got outside, two people had just gotten off horses. One was a young masked man around the same age as Gilgamesh, and the other was a girl with black hair and black clothes.

"Whispering* Arthur, isn't that boy around your age?"

"Looks like it. I wonder what he's doing around here."

"I'll ask. Hey little one, do you need help with anything?"

The black-haired girl asked Gilgamesh as he walked by them, neglecting their existence.

"Someone of my status never needs help, especially not from you mongrels."

Arthur and the girl both stood there with an imaginary sweat droplet on the back of their heads as they watched Gilgamesh vanish into the forest.

"Jasmine, I think that kid might be from a high-status family."

"I agree, considering how arrogant he was, even though I didn't sense a shred of mana coming from his body.

Jasmine and Arthur then turned around to enter the bar but stopped at the front door because of a nasty scent coming from inside.

Arthur slowly creaked open the door, and the sight he was welcomed to reminded him of the battlefield during wars.

Jasmine, witnessing this, turned around and vomited on the steps.

Arthur also removed his mask to puke.

They both turned around, shutting the door behind them as they headed off to the adventure's guild to report what they saw.

"This world is very boring. Everyone I've encountered so far was weak. The only thing they're useful for is my amusement."

After a few more minutes of walking, Gilgamesh finally felt an inhuman presence a few miles away from him.

'Finally, a monster. Time for a little game.'

Gilgamesh said as he walked in the monster's direction.

5 MINUTES EARLIER

*Chomp, Chomp*

A black-colored animal that resembled a dragon was feasting on its prey when a voice rang out in its head.

'Sylvie, meet us at the adventure's guild quickly. I don't have time to explain.'

'Papa sounded troubled.'

Sylvie was getting ready to head out when she sensed something deep in the woods. As an apex predator, she never really felt the feeling of being hunted, but at this moment, for the first time, it felt as if the roles had swapped. Instead of her hunting the prey, she was now the prey being hunted.
