Belle chuckled as she fished out her phone from the handbag and scrolled on the screen. “Don’t worry. If they refuse to show up, I will blackmail them.”
Rosey scoffed from the driver’s seat. “I hope you’re not going to give a bad influence on your child in the future,” she joked.
“Worry not about my child, Rosey. I know what I am doing because right now, we have to worry about Jennet. By the way, are we going to hold this meeting at the usual café?” she gestured at her phone.
“Yes, the usual café,” Rosey replied and then she placed her focus on the road.
They had a matter, far grave, to worry about and that was Jennet’s complicated family matter. They, her friends, were unwittingly involved because they had covered a truth that Elaine Lockhart was searching for.
