Genres?

Quick note about genres, they are a baseline for authors to direct their content towards a certain audience. I was very confused by this app's "genres" because of their sexist nature. I've seen a book or two with female leads in Sci-fi Ghost in the Shell being a major one. Why would anyone trap a writer in a genre with a specific kind of sex-lead? It's idiotic at best, and shaming authors at worst.
