Tiana Williams listened and her eyes briefly hardened as she said calmly, "It's hard to say, for example, if a man uses a child to threaten the woman, then the woman would just have to be forced to compromise. Such cases are not uncommon..."
Over the years, Tiana had seen far too many such examples!
She also had classmates from the legal field, and occasionally when they dined together, they would grumble about certain cases.
For instance, if the man has money and the woman is a stay-at-home mom without an independent income, and the man cheats, he might threaten the woman with divorce. If the woman disagrees, the man would then threaten to move out, stating he wouldn't care for the children's living expenses, nor would he give another dime!
In such a case, could a woman without any income compromise?
Could she endure the thought of her own children dropping out of school?
Could she bear to let her children possibly live in a repressive and violent environment for years on end?
