The First Mission : Part 2

Diluc was looking at Jean and me with suspicion and curiosity, Jean was about to explain the situation to Diluc and I was contemplating how the fuck am I going to escape the wrath of Batman.

"Oh, Master Diluc? I was escorting this young man here, his name is Boris. He said he was coming here to pick up his sister who works here at your winery, Her name is Elena. Seeing the danger of the Abyss Order and the increased hilichurl activity, I decided to accompany him here to protect him. You must know Elena since she works here." Said Jean, as she looked at Diluc.

Diluc immediately narrowed his eyes in suspicion at me, his eyes instantly went from the stoic and calm ones to a calculating and suspicious ones. He quickly concealed them and spoke with a curious tone, "Oh? I wasn't aware "Elena" had a brother. There was no need for a kid like you to trouble yourself to come here, I would have escorted her to her house myself had she asked me. Anyways, you can leave now Jean, I'll escort Boris and Elena back to Mondstadt myself so there is no need to worry, I have some business there myself."

Jean was about to protest but nodded knowingly and looked at me, "Very well. Farewell, Boris. It was nice to meet you. I hope we meet again, take care." With that, she turned around and left.

Noooooooo, now who would protect me if Batman went too far with his interrogation?! Atleast she would protect me from harm by Diluc since she is so kind.

Aren't transmigrators supposed to spend their first day learning the ways of the new world and adapting to the surrounding. So why the fuck do I have to face Batman of all people?!

When Jean was far enough, Diluc narrowed his eyes and looked at me, "Speak up, Boy, Before I make you. Trust me, my ways to make you talk won't be gentle."

Shit. He is totally on me, "I can explain, Batm- Diluc." I said as I raised my arms in surrender.

"Then explain it to me, why did you lie to the Acting Grand Master and bring her here? Was this some plan of assassinating her by the Fatui and you are a member of the Fatui?" Asked Diluc as he folded his hands and stared through my soul.

"Member of the Fatui, Yes. Trying to assassinate the Acting Grand Master? No. I am just a simple Fatui Recruit, only fourteen!

I don't know any of the grander plans! I just fo the labor work for them! I was just heading for my mission when I encountered the Acting Grand Master, she asked me where I was going and what i was going to do, I didn't want raise suspicion by revealing that I am a Fatui member as our organization and Mondstadt are at odds right now. So, I lied to her but she insisted on coming along with me to the Winery and that leads us to the situation." I said.

Diluc narrowed his eyes and glared at me, "Do not lie to me, Boy. Your life may just end short if you continue lying."

"I swear in the name of The Tsaritsa! I am not lying!" I exclaimed genuinely. I wasn't lying.

Diluc's eyes relaxed a little. He knew that the soldiers of Fatui held The Tsaritsa in a very very high regard, they were too infatuated with her to lie on her name. "And what was this mission that you mention?" He asked.

"The mission is near the Winery, at the path to Liyue. I was supposed to escort a travelling merchant and his goods to Mondstadt who hired us. The Fatui are not aware of who he is or what he is carrying. We are merely doing the job that was assigned to us." I replied.

Diluc's eyes still filled with suspicion relaxed a little and he looked at me, "Hmph! I suppose you can live for another day, Boy. But be clear, I will not spare you if I find you doing something that is questionable. But you certainly look interesting... Now, Leave me property." Said Diluc as he turned around and walked towards the Winery.

As soon as Batman left, I started running on the path with all my strength, fearing for my life in case the Black Knight of Mondstadt changed his mind.

After a while, I saw the merchant which I was supposed to escort. The merchant looked like he was of Liyuean Descent and was dressed in Liyuean Clothes, he was a tall but skinny man.

The man looked at me and grumbled, "Finally! You are here! Let's go! It's getting cold out here! Thank Morax they told me how you looked like!" He said as he started walking forward, the horses which were drawing the cart obediently followed his lead.

I nodded and walked beside him. As we walked, I occasionally glanced at the cart here and there, getting curious, I asked the merchant, "What is in that cart?".

The merchant glared at me, "That's none of your concern! Your job is to protect me, so focus on it and not this!" He exclaimed.

I immediately narrowed my eyes in suspicion but chose to stay silent.

After some time of walking, the merchant's attention was on the mountain of Dragonspine when it became visible, That's when I made my move, I walked behind a little and sneaked one below the cover covering the bottles and took out two bottles and then three and then hid them in my clothes.

After sometime, we reached the city and the merchant stopped and looked at me, "Here's the payment! That's 50 Thousand Mora! Now don't bother me Or talk about me with anyone in Mondstadt!" He handed me a bag of Mora and hurriedly walked towards the entrance.

I stared at the bag of Mora and it weighed alot.

That's when I heard a ear-piercing annoying voice.

"Stop that, Lumine! Paimon doesn't like it when you do that, so stop already!"

I heard a feminine giggle and turned around with shock and surprise on my face.

I didn't expect to meet them this early.

What I saw was a flying fairy with silver eyes, strange clothes and a tiara over her head. Beside the fairy, was a short and petite girl with blond hair dressed in strange white clothes.

The fairy looked at me abruptly upon noticing my gaze and looked curious. Meanwhile, the girl blatantly stared at my face and chest and obtained bashful and curious look and whistled quietly.

It was Paimon and Lumine.
