The Temple

Finally!! The story is soon to be finished! At chapter 20 or so. I know its short but as a new author i think its a good length. besides i planned for it to be a short read because im not prepared to write 40+ chapters.

It has been a few weeks since the battle of Italica, since then the whole 44th SS Division has been preparing for a paratrooping mission in the east side of the Empire, just near the ocean.

Every platoon will land separately and capture key locations then regroup once they have secured the location. In which the navy will transport reinforcements. Just like D-Day at the United States except the SS are all alone until the navy reaches them

Alright boys! We leave in 30 Minutes. So get all of your things and make sure no one get's left behind, otherwise you'll just go with the Airborne Division later-Jon

Jon left with those words going to the briefing room along with the other majors that commands each platoon, along with thei Major General (Division Leader).

He was the last to arrive, after which the briefing began.

After briefing the other majors their Major General, Alexander gave him the maps, plans, and major locations.

Here is the folder of maps, plans, and major locations. But the higher ups gave me this one mission and i decided to pass it on to you. It's classified so you have to accept it before we inform you about it-Alexander

However based on the captured footage before being shot down it seems they know magic and there are many of them. We think it's a temple for their gods. Questions?-Alexander

Our landing zone are quite near the temple sir maybe 5 kilometers or so, i guess once we land we need to immediately attack it?-Jon

Sir i request that once we land, the AC-130 that we will ride on can bombard it with bombs and artillery? Then with the chaos around them we can attack them stealthily-Jon

Many men were falling from the ground, parachutes open, along with 3 crates of box for weapons. Can't have them carrying guns while parachuting eh? Although it's cooler.

After they landed they cut off their parachute and ran to the crates like guys from PUBG looking for loot after they landed.

They then rallied in the forest.

After everyone was in their position, He called in.

Eagle 6, This is Fury 1 We're in position, Operation Capture The Flag has started. Requesting Close Air Support, Over-Jon

Explosions erupted at The Temple and everyone in The Temple started to panic. After a while the explosions stopped and the ones at The Temple started to heal the wounded ones and recover the dead ones in the rubble.

Move out!-Jon

Jon and the rest of the platoon started to move onto The Temple. Once they were near the temple they halted.

Everyone into positions! Remember the plan! Not a sound until we pass the walls!-Jon

They went into the temple in 4 man squads quietly, killing anyone they encounter with using their silenced guns. Not until...

*BOOM*

An explosion erupted and their radio erupted into someone screaming.

We've been compromised! 2 of my men are down! We're regrouping with Fury 2!!-Luka

Start plan b! Kill anyone you encounter!-Jon

They started to run everywhere as they killed everyone in sight. they regrouped until there is only 4, 50 man squads.

They then throwed gas grenades and put on Gas Masks. Once the gas started to spread they rushed in and started killing everyone, But the magic users do not easily get defeated and they started throwing spells.

This lasted on for an hour, with Jon and his squad throwing grenades and flame throwers using their flame throwers(obviously). The magic users died down and only a few remained but they were the strong ones.

Throw Gas and then Clusters! Once the clusters are done we go out and kill the lot of them!-Jon

They then started to do the plan, once the clusters are done they went out of their hiding spots and went near the Magic Users, Once near the Magic User seems dead.

You, You, Check the bodies-Jon

They checked the bodies, all seemed normal until the bodies started glowing red and then...

*BOOM*

The bodies exploded and the men checking the bodies instantly died and the few men near it injured.

Jon was standing in the walls overlooking the fields if crops and other plants suited for eating. The Lena came.

*Sigh* How many?-Jon

30 Dead, 20 injured, 13 of them unable to fight again-Lena

43 huh? Fuck-Jon

They're conversation was interrupted and two men talked to them.

Sir! We found something at the basement of the Temple! I think you should see it!-Soldier

Jon went with them and went at the basement of the temple. They found an orb in a glass container floating. Defying Gravity.

After a little bit of looking at the orb Jon ordered for it to be checked for traps. Once there is no traps found he ordered for it to be taken. Little did they know this would spark a whole new different war.
