"Jhuan took only 9 months to clear the whole trial, and I remember you protesting about giving him the chance to challenge the 11th trial!" Basalt shouted out.
"This kid, Kyle, is already at the 7th trial and he spent less than a month! Your Jhuan is a worthless piece of sh*t in front of him!" Volta laughed out.
Basalt, hearing this, started turning deeper and deeper green colour and was just about to say something than some sound came from the mirror, with someone shouted.
"Quick, look! He is about to challenge the 7th level!" With that, both Basalt and Volta sat down with Volta who kept on laughing to himself.

Kyle was standing in front of the gate that beamed with yellow light. He checked his body one last time and moved in.
The 7th trial was very different from the previous once. Right now, all of the stone soldieries weren't only made out of stone. Some of the soldiers had metal inside them, and all of them also had lighting energy that held their bodies together.
Not only it was much harder to slice through their new body, but the lighting stone was also much harder to destroy as the Lighting Step alone could destroy the stone after 3 hits. This slowed down Kyle considerably.
Kyle didn't expect it, but the stone soldiers now started using lighting techniques as the base. At first, this was troublesome for Kyle, but after he realised that lighting that they executed could be easily dodged by him and even if it hit him, he could absorb the lighting energy before it started to hurt him.
But, their lighting usage only made Kyle understand and get insights in ways to use the lighting energy he had. His lighting step started to become more savage and used much denser lighting energy.
Kyle carried on with the slaughter.

Right now, Kyle was panting non-stop, and sweat mixed with red blood was on his forehead. He had slices on both sides of his body, and his hair nearly got burnt to a crisp by a lighting strike just now.
In front of him, a general, at least 30 metres tall, was standing domineering. Kyle thought that such a big body would be a disadvantage as it could not possibly move that fast, but he was wrong.
Every time the general swung his halberd, rocks would fly, and everything would rip. Kyle's movement even got slowed down by the simple wind that the strike made.
What made things even worse, is that the same halberd released a sea of lighting together with a swing. Lighting usually wouldn't be deadly to Kyle anymore, but the amount of lighting that it released was too much for his body to bear.
Even his lighting soul seemed panicked and scared right now due to the amount of lighting that was around him.
Kyle didn't know what to do. He couldn't give up, and it was either him dying or this general falling. 'I have to think of something. I have overcome so many trials already, and now that I am at the final stretch, I never expected it to be easy.' Kyle looked from side to side and checked all of the cavern's walls for anything that he can use for his advantage.
'These trials are not supposed to be this unfair; there got to be something to help me win.' Kyle thought this, but before he could search properly, the giant started his swing again.
The lighting accumulated this time was even bigger than before, and Kyle knew that he couldn't dodge this. He decided that instead of dodging the strike, he would attack simultaneously and hope that the lighting won't touch him if he is at the general's body.
Kyle circled the last qi that he had and jumped high into the air. The halberd strike was already falling at the spot where Kyle just stood, and the stone was disintegrated into nothingness.
The lighting stone that this general had was positioned on its neck in the front, and Kyle had leapt directly at it.
But as Kyle was celebrating getting his first hit on to the general, he saw that the head of it was getting closer and closer than before, faster than Kyle's speed.
Suddenly he felt a stabbing pain and flew back. Kyle realised that general, after swinging the halberd saw through his plan and launched a head butt as hard as he could muster.
This head butt was at least a couple of tones strong. Kyle flew back and hit the wall of the ravine. The head butt was so strong that Kyle drilled through the rock and now was at least 2 metres drilled inside.
The general didn't give Kyle any chance to get ready and threw another halberd strike.
'I am stuck, and my body doesn't want to move!' Kyle knew for the fact that he overused his energy and his qi, and he had no way to fight any more.
'Did I overestimate myself…?' Kyle right now was battling his sanity to allow him to do the last push and try to survive.
'I might be able to buy myself some time if I use the Wave of Conviction and damage its body.' Kyle was barely able to lift up his hand and pointed at the general's body. But, as Kyle saw the halberd strike getting closer and closer, he couldn't do anything what so ever.
The Wave of Conviction didn't want to release, and the qi didn't want to listen to his commands either. It seems that even the system itself over-exhausted itself in the battle that just happened.
Kyle looked at his hand, pointing at the general's body and looked at the pathetic state he was in. He challenged a high tier of trial and was about to fall because of his own incapabilities.
All of the moments of Kyle's past life flashed by him. His siblings, his parents, his crushes. Every happy and sad moment played out in front of his eyes.
At the last moment, when the lighting together with the halberd were around 5 metres away from Kyle, he suddenly saw a familiar, but much-forgotten face of Miss Anya.
