Post-Tyrells

Jim was leaving Highgarden, without any incentives received by the Tyrells.

He knew his chances of getting more gold out of Westeros was a difficult task, much less from someone with a decent spy network.

The talk with Tyrells went as he had expected, with Luthor denying any gold out of Reach to be given to the North, countering that they can supply more grains from the South.

The grain North received cost 2.5x to 3.5x of the market price, which was a logical price given the deliverymen had to come all the way up, while there was looming the danger of Pirates in the Biter or the Ironborns. Justified the price may be but the North suffered due to that.

The other task he had in mind while visiting Highgarden was to recruit someone with Wildfyre capabilities while having a questionable loyalty towards the Citadel, which was on hold for now.

As for the Tyrells, they had promised him grains and supplies for the North, but any request for gold was shunned away. He had noticed that at his request of the golden dragons, Luthor Tyrell's eyes always met his wife's, so it seems his adventures at the capital had been noted by the Reachmen.

He could understand their thinking, any sort of navy time development in the North would be disadvantageous for the Southern, much more to the Reach as the primary supplier of what the North lacks, food grains.

The navy in the North could only have the primary purpose of acquiring food supplies, as they were not rich enough for Pirates to visit the poor smallfolk around the coast regularly, and with the North depending less on the Reach for their supplies, it won't vanish the fortune of Highgarden, but leave a mark deep enough to make it clear that the uncertain position of richest kingdom of Westeros.

Mimirsen rode his way to Ocean Road, where he would reach the house of Crakehall, one of the southern Lords who were descendants of the First Men. From there would be a ship to Blazewater Bay in the North, in just 5 days if the Iron Islands stayed silent.

His trip to Dorne would have to be put on hold as it was not very time effective, maybe some other time.

Riding the horse fast enough, he saw the man with black robes, the exiled Maester on the road to the Westerlands, who was traveling by foot. The man did not know that the faith of the seven should be out for his blood, or he did not care for that.

Jim could understand his plight, he dedicated his life to the betterment of life, living for years as an acolyte and even after receiving enough chain to be a Maester anywhere, continued his study in medicine.

And then the Citadel exiled him for his practices. In his mind, he was on the good side.

Mimirsen took interest in him and closed down on him.

"Qyburn, was it?"

"Milord?"

"Mimirsen Jim, I wanted to ask if you were capable of producing Wildfyre in large quantities?"

"Milord, I am indeed capable of making Wildfyre but in small quantities, and doing so is illegal in the eyes of the Citadel.

"But you are no longer a Maester of the Citadel, are you, Qyburn" Jim brought up a pouch of gold coin." and I do not lack the coin for it." Qyburn eyes sank.

"What chains did the Order of the Maesters bestowed you before your exile?"

"Yes, Black iron for ravens, Milord, Copper for history, Silver for medicine and healing, and Steel for construction"

"How is your administrative and naval prowess?"

"Fair, Milord, they are taught to all the Maester for them to advise the lords on matters."

Mimirsen had something in his mind for the ex-Maester. He would not make him serve in Moat Calin or Winterfell, but an idea of developing the North as a whole had come into his mind during his voyage. (don't worry, I won't waste Qyburn by making hospitals cause that's very cliche, I have great plans for him, where the MC won't be interfering but Qyburn remains important to the story.)

Jim brought out four sheets of paper from his bag and placed them into the ex-Maester hands "Go to Winterfell and meet Lord Stark, tell him I sent you, and wait there for me to return."

Qyburn looked up in a questionable gaze when he noticed the contents of those sheets.

It was a human body diagram, with markings of every bone, muscle, and nerve on different papers. He was perplexed and doubted their information to be true, but it was very carefully marked with almost no hope of mistakes. Jim had conjured these at the moment for him to pass on the incentives for the new servant he will receive for these.

"Milord." Qyburn took the paper from Mimirsen's hands to read them more carefully.

"Take these and hide them well, you will receive more information about the human body than the Citadel could ever offer."

Qyburn nodded enthusiastically. He was to leave Reach, so Jim offered him his horse for the trip, while Jim stepped down and walked his way to Ocean Road.

Qyburn was perplexed as to which foolish man, much less a Lord would offer his own horse for an unknown man to travel. This was perceived to be idiotic by Qyburn, but he did not speak his mind.

His horse vanished from his sight at the horizon, while he waited long enough for this sight to happen.

Mimirsen noticed a neigh from another rider, with a black horse, agile yet of smaller stature, a Dornish sand steed.

'An acolyte, newly graduated from Citadel, without the robes though.' The Maester's chains were apparent, but wearing no robe meant he had let the order of the Maester.
