I Can Hear It All!

'Xhasa... One of the red archers that Kojja had introduced to me today. Xhasa Raa was voluptuous black beauty in her twenties. I didn't think they also shared a bed.' Arrluk felt a slight disappointment in knowing that Kojja was already taken even if her partner was a woman like her, but then it hit him that they were summer islanders. They don't have boundaries when it comes to matters of lovemaking. Arrluk once again remembered what he had read about Summer Isle and Dorne.

Shortly after, Kojja's own orgasms were signalled by her near scream and Xhasa's muffled moan. The bed stopped shaking immediately, and Arrluk could imagine them laying in an exhausted heap.

Kojja and Xhasa's session might have ended, but many more couples or groups were still going on.

Arrluk decided to go out on the deck, even if it was not allowed.

Arrluk came out of his room and walked to the railing on his left side. A crew member on night duty came to him and tried to make him go back, but when Arrluk explained to him about his problem, the man in question had a fit of laughter. Arrluk looked very annoyed after seeing the guy being so insensitive. Arrluk told him the truth because any other excuse would not have worked and only got him thrown back into the cabin.

"What's the matter, Dhorrabas?" Another man came over after getting attracted to his friends, laughing so loudly.

"You won't believe me, but anyway, listen..." Arrluk saw that Dhorrabas guy retelling his excuse, and then both of them started laughing together as if it was the funniest thing they had heard in their life. Arrluk was getting a little bit pissed.

"Haha, cough, cough... Boy, you can stay on the deck if you want but let me warn you... these noises won't stop till late in the morning. You will only tire yourself out after lacking sleep. Take my advice and pluck your ears with something, then go back to sleep."

Arrluk had already tried that, but his hearing was physical as well as magical. No amount of wool or a piece of small cloth he found in the cabin could stop all those noises, just like he can't control his night vision when it was dark.

These men might find it challenging to move from one end to another on this ship without the help of torches or moonlight, but he did not have that difficulty as it was like early morning or evening for him.

Strength potion had enhanced his senses, and so did the magic. Before, the physical enhancement was helpful, but now after adding magic, it was just getting annoying... wait for a second, ah right, magic!

Arrluk suddenly thought of an idea to nerf his hearing. All he had to do was to block the mana flowing inside his body from entering his ear. Since the mana in his body was moving on its own, Arrluk didn't think of stopping it.

"Boy? Are you listening?" The unknown man asked.

"Ah, yes, I heard you. But let me stay here for a while. I will go back when it becomes... less noisy."

The man sighed before he nodded his head to give his permission and muttered under his breath, 'How loud could they be and heard across walls? Must be a screamer among them.'

Dhorrbas also went away with his friend, leaving Arrluk all to himself.

Arrluk went over the railing and looked at the horizon before concentrating his attention inward.

He was trying to block the magic from flowing into his ears, but that was easier said than done.

In simple terms, Arrluk was building a mud wall in the way of the stream, but the water would seep through or flow over the mud wall when he was halfway through completing his blockage.

After trying many times, Arrluk started feeling a little dizzy. The ear was a delicate organ. Other than hearing, it also helped a human in keeping balance. Arrluk was bound to be hit by dizziness after his little experiment.

'I'm using the wrong method. Blocking mana with mental power was not working. Maybe, if I can better control my mana, I would not be having such difficulty.' Arrluk thought as he rubbed his temples. Constructing the Wind rune had helped a lot in terms of mana control but still not enough.

"Could not sleep with all the noises, huh, Arrluk?' Kojja's voice travelled as she made her way over to Arrluk's place.

When Arrluk looked back, all he saw on Kojja's face were her white shining teeth and a teasing smirk.

Behind her, Dhorabhas was snickering with his mates and probably telling them about him.

"Don't mind them. Night duty is always dull. They can't have fun inside one of the rooms, so they will find every other way to pass the time, just like how they are getting a good laugh over your uncommon trouble." Kojja said as she took her place beside him by the railing.

Arrluk could see a sheen of sweat covering her skin, and the smell of womanly fluids was also strong on her.

"I'm aware how boring it can get out on the high seas after staying on the ship for an extended period of time. I also don't mind if sailors are having fun because of my dilemma. Though it truly is an uncommon problem."

"You are not jesting, are you Arrluk? I'm sure the cabins are not thin." Kojja looked at Arrluk incredulously.

Arrluk couldn't decide whether he should tell her the truth. There was no way of knowing her reaction, but in these four short days after coming to this world, Kojja was the only friend or acquaintance he made other than his group made of underage children.

"I... don't know if I should tell you. You might not believe me."

"... How can you know without trying?" Kojja replied since she felt there was more to Arrluk, which screamed abnormal. His tale of defeating four fully grown men was unbelievable, but Wolk's incident made Kojja understand that the boy possessed strength above his age. One of the many reasons why she had invited Arrluk to seek residence on her home island.

"Hm... you're right, but my situation isn't normal. Humans tend to fear what they cannot understand."

"Well said, Arrluk! Now, I'm even more interested in knowing." Kojja said, with a sparkle in her eyes.

Arrluk took a deep breath. He was familiar with those eyes. Kojja was like him, an adventurer. And every true adventurer has one thing in common, the ability to absorb the unexplainable quite easily.

Thinking about his powers and how he might need to reveal them to the world one day, Arrluk knew it was better to confide in some little things early on, or people like Kojja would only get suspicious of him.

Arrluk made sure no one else was listening to their conversation before speaking up, "My senses are much more powerful than an average human being. Like an eagle, I can watch far and clear. Like an owl, I can see in the dark like it's a day. My nose works just like a hound or a wolf. My other two senses are also better than average humans though they aren't on the first three-level. I'm also blessed with abnormal strength. You saw a glimpse of it at the docks yesterday."

Arrluk let his words sink into Kojja's mind so that she can process them for a moment.

"I can see your face covered in sweat. I can feel a slight warm heat radiating from your body as if you have just done some heavy lifting work... I can also smell... Xhasa's scent on you and something more which can only happen after doing certain intimate actions with, you know, lovers." Arrluk explained simply, though he did hesitate to say the last part.

Many things happened in the past couple of months because of which I couldn't write. Tomorrow is the day of my sister's wedding after which I will get back on track with my writing, so possibly I will start posting chapters for all three of my novels 5th of May or the 4th of May at the latest.
